(from Google)We scheduled an appointment for grooming. When I made the appointment, I had to ask about drop off time. At drop-off, no information was proactively given about how long grooming would take or what pickup expectations would be. I probably should have asked more questions, but I would think expectations would be set by staff. I dropped my dog off at 9:15. When I called at 2:00 because I was driving past the location, I was told she would need “at least another 45 minutes.” No one called after that, and two hours later I came in person to pick her up. In total, she was there for about six hours. The staff and the grooming itself were lovely, but the lack of communication was frustrating. At no point was it explained that this could be an all-day appointment, and no one asked whether we needed her by a certain time. I would not have assumed it would be full day, but could have set my expectations if I had known in advance. Because the day ended up being so long, it also would have been helpful to know where our dog would be during that time. If she was kenneled while waiting, that’s something owners should be informed of ahead of time so they can make an informed decision. Constructive feedback that would have improved this experience would include clearly setting drop-off and pick-up time expectations, explaining where dogs are kept between services, and communicating when a dog is ready rather than making assumptions. I hope this feedback can be taken constructively, as similar communication issues appear in other reviews with disconcerting responses from the owner. The professional response would be using feedback to improve and then preparing your staff to set expectations with customers.
Great place for caring dog visits! The staff is watchful at all times. It’s a joy to view my pet when needed it on camera. The place is clean well taken care of and my pit gets plenty of time to play and rest. She loves the outside sun time with her four legged friends .. My beagle comes home tired happy hungry, and ready for a good night sleep! Not to forget that overnight stays are just like being at home, comfy and roomy and very clean. Happy parent and spoiled beagle at CampBowWow Central!
My husband and I have to travel a lot and are unable to fly with our sweet Luna (she’s a golden retriever and too big to fly). We entrust her with Camp Bow Wow every time we’re out of town for 4-8 days. She always seems to have a good time, all the “camp counselors” know her and love her. She comes back in good condition and she is always so excited when we drop her off. The only thing I lament is my bill when I pick her up from boarding. It is quite pricey compared to other boarding kennels I think. But I know I am paying for my dog to get quality play time with other dogs and people. The socialization and not being cooped up in a kennel all week is so good for her. Thanks!
Always a professional but fun experience! Staff genuinely love the dogs which makes me feel confident leaving my furry family member with them. My dog stayed in the luxury cabin that offered her privacy and me the opportunity to view her camera online 24/7. I would recommend Camp Bow Wow Colorado Springs Central to anyone!
Apollo LOVESSS going to Daycare. I especially love Camp Bow Wow. Today was 100°F and I was so worried about my furbaby overheating. I called in just to make sure he was doing alright and Mercedes reassured me he was doing fine. She was very kind, professional, and knowledgable. I always worry about leaving my baby anywhere, but Camp Bow Wow is very reassuring and safe. They take animal safety seriously—especially compared to some places I’ve taken my furbaby to. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to take their furbaby to release some energy. ++ Apollo always has fun and completely fell asleep the moment he laid down.
