Amazing experience. Was looking for a place to board my cat that was not the typical kennel-type cage with multiple levels. My bengal is very active and I couldn’t put him in one of those things for multiple days. After searching far and wide, I got lucky enough to find Happy Cat in Fair Lawn. Although it’s a 40 minute drive for me, everything I read about the place seemed to indicate that it would be well worth it. In the end, not only was it worth it, but it was even better than I ever would’ve expected. Lauren and her staff are stellar, give daily updates and really care about the cats. They treat them like their own. The facility is super clean and the rooms are more than just cages. They are legitimate rooms. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be leaving Michael here again in the future.

Absolutely love this place! Our 3 kitties boarded here for 4 nights. 2 (Lexi and Luna) of the 3 are very shy and the 3rd (Charlie) is the complete opposite, and much younger so loves to play. He also likes to eat everyone’s food! We were so impressed at how this was handled, because the other 2 were being shy and not coming out of the cubbies, and not eating, Lauren called us and asked if they could put Charlie in another room overnight to give the girls an opportunity to come out and eat, and it worked! The care and attention is 2nd to none. The daily updates are so cute, and loved having the camera in their room so we can see them whenever we like. They all got daily ‘outdoor’ time where they got to come out of their room, stretch their legs and roam the halls. They also get playtime with the staff, and lots of cuddles. This place is a 5star cat hotel, and we’ll definitely be coming back. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Lauren and the staff were fantastic with our foster kittens! We have 4 kittens we are fostering that we needed care for while we went away this week. We were able to board them all together. They are litter mates and really love being with each other. They had the Costa Rica suite which was perfect for them. Tons of room for them to be active kittens, but still have their own cozy hide outs. They really loved the kitty kasa hide cubes. And the staff was so patient with them. They really took the time to make them feel comfortable and help them warm up. They are very shy, and take some time to open up- but they pulled out all the tricks to make them comfy- treats, toys, cuddles, and even catnip bubbles. They went above and beyond to make sure they were happy. You can tell they really care about cats! I’m so happy we found this place!

Had such a wonderful experience boarding my cat Ollie here this week! Lauren, and the entire staff are amazing. You can tell they truly love cats :) My cat has some stress urinary issues, and he was not stressed here in the least. He actually had a blast, it was like he was on vacation too! They really got to know him and were so attentive to his needs. I felt very comfortable with him being there. The rooms are perfect- enough space so they don’t feel cooped up, but also cozy enough for them to feel safe, and secure. My cat ended up absolutely loving the little tent in his room. The web cams are great so you can check in, but they also provide daily updates on how they did that day and what enrichment activities were provided. And they communicated as well if there was anything else they felt he needed. I would highly recommend and will always be using them for him in the future. I can’t say enough great things about Lauren and the staff. They made leaving for vacation way less stressful!

Picked up our furry babies this afternoon from their first stay at Happy Cat Bergen County. They absolutely loved it! While a few of our bunch decided to snuggle up in the kitty kasas provided in their Pawsitano Luxury suite, we had one of our baby boy’s super comfortable and hanging out on the various perches and looking out the windows. We were allowed to bring their beds so they had comforts from home and their own food and treats. My husband and I left super comfortable with the very kind and caring team at Happy Cat and with their owner, Lauren. Having access to the live camera to check in on our bunch and email updates with pictures we received were wonderful and it made us very happy! Would not hesitate to take them for lodging needs again in the future. Thank you, Happy Cat Bergen Country team
