Natural Breed Kennels

We had such a good experience with NBK when we got our sweet Poppy (Pops, Popstar... she has a lot of names :-) as a puppy. Shelley was amazing, and bent over backwards to work with us with what turned out to be a very complicated transport to get our daughter's puppy to her new home in Canada before winter set in. It was worth all the effort it took to get Poppy to here, as she is a smart, sociable, energetic and very sweet dog that is showing great promise as she trains to be a service dog for our daughter. Thank you for making this all possible. We are grateful!

I took my Border Collie there for a play day.This has been over a year ago. I asked for a bath before I picked him up and unfortunately they were booked. I went to pick him up that afternoon. The young man brought him out to me and he was soaking wet!! I asked him why he was so wet and he replied “He likes the hose”. I was not prepared for my dog to get in my vehicle soaking wet! Regardless I had no choice, took him home and immediately gave him a bath before bringing him in our home. They use the hose to spray down poop in the play area, so my dog was getting a mouthful of poop!! 🤬 The next day (Saturday) I could tell he wasn’t feeling good. I took him to the vet on Monday and $550.00 later he had an infection. Had to take antibiotics and wear an E-Collar for days!! When I spoke with the doctor and nurse they explained how the infection happened due to the way they spray hoses on dog poop and it gets in the dog’s mouth! The nurse use to work at a kennel and knew what she was talking about. The young man that brought him out to me at Natural Breed Kennels thought it was funny!! NOT FUNNY! 🤬My furry, lovable Border Collie suffered for a couple of weeks and cost me several hundred dollars due to their negligence on keeping dogs away when spraying poop! Needless to say I won’t be taking him back! The owner is only interested in DOG BREEDING not Daycare or Boarding. Breeding is where she makes her money! NEVER AGAIN!!

We got our service dog prospect from this kennel. She is a well bred golden retriever with a fantastic temperament and super biddable! Very, very pleased with her 😍

Used to be my & my pack’s favorite place. But the owner has gone hands off allowing Dawn to run it. She charges $90 dollars a visit to my credit card without permission when my visits were pre paid. When I called to try to resolve it she told me she didnt have time for me because she was busy with customers… like I wasn’t a customer. The unauthorized charges were so frequent I stopped utilizing them for day care. Today I booked them for the purpose of grooming my husky. End of business day I get an email from Dawn saying I went in to cancel Delilah’s nail trim and saw she was booked for a grooming.. it didn’t happen, sorry. Sorry. I pre paid $156… gone Well, I’m sorry too. I’m sorry that Dawn has run what was once the best Canine facility into the ground.

The highest compliment I can offer is that, despite our own human flaws that are many, kennel-owner and groomer Shellie cares very unselfishly for our pets. We had our first grooming session since adopting our now 8-month+ rescue doodle pup, and Shellie had our backs. She understood our challenges, generously shared her knowledge and expertise, and our girl looks great after Shellie’s experienced clip. She has such a practiced hand for grooming doodles. We also had the opportunity to quietly observe a community of owners and pups at busy morning drop-off for doggie daycare. The dogs were all so happy to be there. The facility is clean, welcoming, and the staff is not only friendly but genuinely interested in your dog. We live too far for the great socializing this daycare offers, but we now have our go-to boarding kennel for any future travels out of CLT. Our dog and I thank the staff and Shellie for a very positive experience yesterday. Our puppy is now well-groomed, we can better beat the summer heat!
