We love PW Kennels! We've only had great experiences leaving our dogs there. I love the personal attention our dogs get. I've forgotten their dog food many times, and it's never an issue for them to replace it. The kennels are clean, sturdy, and well taken care of. We love that they have the option to go inside when it's hot to cool down with some A/C, or when it's cold, they go in to get warm. The dogs have the freedom to go in and out as they please. You can even bring your own doggy beds to put inside with them. And let's not forget, they have the best prices in town! This family-owned business really takes pride in caring for your dogs like their own. Have I mentioned their remodeling looks amazing? We recommend this kennel 1000%!

We've boarded our dogs here for years. I've always appreciated that it's family run and that our three dogs aren't separated. Each kennel has an outdoor section and the pups can go indoors whenever they want. My 120lb mastiff easily fits through the doggie door. Their indoor rooms are heated during the cold months and cooled during the summer. If I could change one thing... I'd wish for cameras so owners can look in on their pets while they're gone.

Appreciate this kennel! We took our cats and dog to them while we went on vacation. The family was loving and attentive and they were the only kennel to actually answer their phones and provide quality service. Thank you!

Saving a few bucks cost me $5,000 in vet bills. My dog left this facility with a paw injury so gruesome an experienced ER vet gasped in shock that he was even able to walk. Nearly 2 months and thousands of dollars in care later, he has recovered to needing special care for that paw for the rest of his life. While the people that run this facility seem genuinely kind and have years of experience boarding dogs (passed down family business), I can't in good faith leave a positive review after my experience. Some notes for new clients to consider below, take them for the truth that they are. This facility is bare minimum in almost every aspect, only consider boarding here if you are tight on budget or have no other options. The accommodations are more akin to a low budget animal control shelter than a boarding kennel. The entrance area looks more like a scene from Breaking Bad than a respectable business. This lack of infrastructure upkeep shows through the whole facility. The cheap chain link fence with sharp tie wires facing inside is likely cause of my dog's injury, though it was awkwardly denied and half admitted by different members of the staff. Our 80lb dog was provided a kennel with such a small indoor area his bed wouldn't even fit inside. The outside space wasn't much larger and was nearly 100% exposed to the sun. If your dog is much over 50lbs, their accommodations are simply not adequate. Yet they will book you knowing this. If I had not been pinned against a critical travel schedule I likely would have left with my dog upon seeing the situation. While the facility being directly adjacent to a private residence may lead you to think your pet would be monitored 24/7; in reality, staff are only there for a few hours in the morning and evening to handle feeding and check-in/check-out. Overall, I would not return to board here and would only recommend this facility to those with smaller low maintenance dogs and a tight budget.

Our dogs have always been well taken care of at Pueblo West Kennels. The owners are warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond with our 16 year old Chinook trying to figure out ways to get him to eat his food.
