Thousand Hills Pet Resort

Been taking all my dogs here for a few years now. One of my dogs was attacked by another dog about 2 years ago while boarding there. The attack was severe and my dog needed a lot of care. I should have known then not to go back, but I took them back as the staff was caring and took all the appropriate actions. I never had any issues again and enjoyed taking my dogs there for daycare and boarding. I kept my dogs up on their vaccinations and did everything I thought I was supposed to do.Recently, I had a boarding reservation and dropped two of my dogs off. 30 minutes later, received a call stating one of my dogs had a flea on him and I needed to come pick up both of my dogs. I did not realize having a flea was against policy as all I saw on their website is they need current vaccinations.Travel plans were ruined and thousands of dollars were lost. When I got there, I asked if I could leave my other dog as she did not have a flea and they told me no, that I would have to take both dogs. I am so disappointed on how this was handled as my dogs have been going there for so long. Think twice about boarding as they can call for something like one flea on your dog and you will be required to pick up your dog asap.

We used this facility for a last-minute pet boarding need while we were visiting San Luis Obispo. The website was very easy to navigate, the staff was very helpful over the phone, and the check-in and checkout process was very smooth and organized. All of the staff members I came into contact with at the facility, seemed to really care about our pup. It’s a pretty big place, with lots of fenced-in areas and different zones, depending on the size and needs of your pet. We will definitely use this place again when we come to town. The prices were very reasonable too!

I just boarded my dogs at Thousand Hill Pet Resort for two weeks while I was out of the country, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the staff was professional, kind, and clearly cared deeply for the animals in their care. I was nervous about being away for so long, but they always put my mind at ease with updates and I returned to happy, healthy pups who clearly felt at home there. I always bring my boys here for short or long trips and I wouldn’t trust my dogs anywhere else. Highly recommend!
