Kat's St. Pete Animal Care

We’ve been taking our dog Louie to Kat’s for years and have always had a great experience. Louie can be a little anxious at times, but Kat is so patient with him and always makes him feel comfortable. She’s super accommodating and always sends lots of photos while we’re away, which we really appreciate. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in such good hands!

Leaving your dog with someone else for the first time is a huge act of trust, especially when your dog is a rescue who has already experienced so much change. When I first dropped Mia off with Kat and her family, I was incredibly nervous because we hadn't spent time apart since I brought her home. Within minutes, I received a video of Mia curled up in one of the girls' laps getting the gentlest pets, and I knew she was going to be okay. What we found here wasn't just daycare — it was an extension of our family. Mia gets the enrichment, socialization, exercise, and affection that she needs to thrive, all in the comfort of a home environment instead of a loud, overstimulating facility. Kat, Jason, and their girls genuinely know and love each of the dogs as individuals, and it shows in every update, photo, and video they send. Over time they've become part of Mia's village: trimming her nails, keeping her overnight when my classes run late, throwing her birthday parties, playing endless games of fetch, setting up enrichment activities, and even going above and beyond to help encourage her to eat on days she's being picky. They care about her wellbeing the same way I do, and there is no greater gift than that. The biggest compliment I can give is this: I never worry when Mia is there. I know she's loved, safe, entertained, and treated like family because to them, she is family. Finding Kat and her family has been one of the greatest blessings for both of us, and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

If I could give Kat's St Pete Animal Care MORE stars I would! I immediately felt comfortable at our meet & greet and knew my 8 month old Cairn Terrier puppy would be well cared for. What I didn't expect was how much fun he would have every time he goes there! Finn made lots of doggie (& human!) friends from the minute he trotted in the door. He is truly part of their family during his times there and I know that each time he can't wait to go back. Kathleen and her family are the best! We so appreciate the daily "pupdates" and seeing how happy he is there is so reassuring. Check out his big smiles in the photos :-)

This was our Great Dane puppy Booker’s first time away from home, and he couldn’t have had more fun! The care, communication, and attention that Kat and her family provide are truly remarkable. We received great updates and had complete peace of mind the entire time. I couldn’t recommend Kat and her family more highly. If you’re looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, this is it!

I can’t recommend Kat and Jason enough! I just moved to the area and needed to board my 2 dogs for a trip immediately after my move. I was very nervous trusting my boys with a new boarder in a new town, but as soon as I walked into Kat and Jason’s home for a meet and greet, I knew they were the right people for the job! These are people who truly LOVE their animals, and in turn love what they do in their business with their guest pups! One of my dogs is epileptic and takes meds 2x/day as well, and they were right on top of it! Kat send me photos and videos all weekend of my boys, which made me feel so at ease! I will definitely be booking with them again for boarding and doggy daycare!
