Bennett Beach

Did you know? One of western New York’s finest! There is an incredible fun-loving beach along the shores of Lake Erie - with soft sand & warm water while offering great family memories - well-located near Angola New York, about fifteen miles south of Buffalo. It is aptly named Bennett Beach after what was formerly the “Old Bennett Estate”. Great times! Summer Fun! Lasting Memories! My family has visited Bennett and other sporty beaches nearby, such as Sunset, located along the sunshine coast of New York State’s Lake Erie. The waves are gentle, typically no more than a foot or so unless there is a storm brewing over the lakes. Fun times!

Wow! What a nice beach with a picnic area & kids play area before crossing the bridge to the beach. This beach has lifeguards and lots of waves, seagulls, driftwood and some beach glass. The sand is really nice & there are sand dunes along the beach area as well!

Bennett Beach was closed for swimming on my visit. There was plenty of parking available. There was a footbridge required to get to the beach. It was relatively easy walk and they do have mats down on a portion of the sand to make it easier to traverse. Especially if you're pushing a stroller or a wagon, etc. There were lifeguards on staff, but not at their post, because the beach were is closed. They were in the trailer. Grounds seemed nice and clean. You could tell the water wasn't as clear and aqua blue as typical, so that's probably why it was closed. Not a bad place to check out if you're in the area. No admission fee. Also no alcohol allowed. Check the rules for the beach on the signage, to avoid issues. Hopefully you catch a day when you can enjoy the water!

Mixed feelings about this park. Beautiful...nice sandy beach, clean, bathrooms and I love the walk way down to the beach. But way to many rules. The one that bothered me the most was.. no horseplaying. It's a park/ beach.. that's where you go to play.

Lifeguards seem to pay attention, sand is nice and clean. Water is clean. No alcohol allowed. Today the water closed early at 5:30pm. Website said swimming starts at noon.
