Went for years but last experience i had was completely terrible. The old man made me dump out beer and then after the fact watched us with binoculars for 15min because he had suspicions that we had more liquor hidden. Not even the tip of iceberg he then called cops and had to deal with Augusta P.D treating us like criminals for an hour . If you want to relax and have a good time do not recommend.

This beautiful retreat was complete with a disc golf course. Each station had a hook for your bag or dog leash and a safe place to deposit your phone while you played. It was windy the day we went, but it was still enjoyable because of the way the hiking path was situated against the trees. $10 parking with a QR code you get when you arrive.

A beautiful lake, several campsites, lots of fish and a small swim area. Several well marked trails to walk.

We drove from Texas with our three boys for four days of tent camping and this place exceeded our expectations. The limited campsites originally deterred us, but we quickly learned the lake staff team prioritizes space and quiet for each of their guests. We arrived early evening and were instantly greeted with calmness, beauty, and the best customer service from the park ranger Rod and his wife Maggie! We swam and played for hours at the beach. We fished, hiked, and paddle boarded. The campgrounds are well kept with obvious indicators that the lake staff team spends lots of time and energy making sure you can access and enjoy the lake and surrounding grounds. The sunsets are something you must see in person! We can’t wait to come back!

This is me and my wife’s favorite place to camp. It’s never very busy. Always quiet Rod the park ranger always treats you with respect, good swimming, good fishing, lots of water sport activities like paddle boarding and kayaking available bike trails and Bike rentals as well as walking trails and disc golf. Also, a nice grassy area for me to practice my paramotor!
