The beautiful sandy beach as it once was is all gone hopefully it returns in years to come. Many great times had here though.
It's a nice beach complete with a natural wading section along the great Missouri river. Just stay on the wading area side and you should be fine. Don't jump in on the great river side, the currents are misleading, strong and it's too dangerous. The beach is by trail access only, the trail can be maintained better. But again, this is intentionally a natural and wild area. Can't complain though for a free beach. It's better than expected and underutilized for sure.
I went to the adress the GPS gave here. No sand :( no beach :( just a river. Kids were sad but looks like a cool fishing spot another day maybe. 9/21/2018
Pretty fun place to hang out. The walkway to the bank is a bit of challenge. Great overall, closest thing to an actual beach for miles.
