You can BARELY walk barefoot. The “sand” is essentially sharp rocks. You get 3 stars vs 1 due to the amazing life jacket borrow site. What an amazing gesture to keep people safe. Any beach i have to wear shoes on to get to the water is not a good beach. If you’re going to charge to use a beach, the least you can do is till it once a year.
Still a beautiful lake, I would like to see the swim areas yellow restrictor on the east bank back closer to the marker booies. Kinda smaller area to swim then I remember
Lots of open sandy beach area. Sand at least 6 ft deep all the way through the area. Clean and well kept for being so busy. Water is extremely low but that is no one's fault.
It's ok. They wont let me drink beers though. I suggest aqua socks or shoes in the swim area. The ground seems to be covered in volcanic glass and will shred the bottoms of your feet. It also stinks of fish. Maybe just go and lay in the sun, and hope not to have too much fun...
