Lovers Key Beach

We tried to find someplace around Fort Meyers but found all the beaches crowded so we kept driving. We found this Gem and hit the jackpot. the beach was not crowded, there were nice bathroom facilities. We did not take the trails but several are available

Beautiful peaceful beach- a short walk to the beach on planked walkways. Parking on Sunday was difficult- not much parking there! $8 entry to get in to the state park.

Such a nice beach and plenty of shells. Not crowded either. Also, a great place to watch the sunset! There were some leaves and sticks near the shore, but you can swim right past that. The waves weren't too big the day we went.

This beach is so laid back, plenty of space to spread out, no chaos. It’s very clean and well taken care of. The small fee is well worth helping to preserve the beautiful marine life and nature. Janet the incredibly sweet volunteer kindly gave us a ride in a cart with our little kids and beach gear, but the walk is just fine too if you have a wagon!

It really was a nice beach, well worth the walk to the South Beach if you are looking to avoid the crowds. However, even though they offer trams, sometimes they don't run... Sunset was great...
