Beach Access Point

Neighborhood access to the beach 🏖️ only. It was cleared after the recent snow ❄️ storm.

I've been to a lot of beaches. This is my favorite. The river meets the sea here so swimming is not recommended but the views, the sounds, and the preservation of nature in this area is beyond what I expected visiting this island. There is plenty of space to walk for a ways taking in the views, listening to the crashing waves, and letting the sun hit your face. My dog loves to walk (leashed only during off-season). I enjoy the communal driftwood art and the photography opportunities this area offers. Keep in mind you earn the beach time here, meaning you are walking often on slight hills and through precisely marked paths to avoid dune damage. There is a lot of history here which only deepens my appreciation of the location.

Beautiful beaches. A wonderful place for a walk in the surf and sand.
