(from Google)Beautiful! Didnt swim, as it was too cold but it is a beautiful place.
Mac Point Beach is a very beautiful, scenic lake side picnic and swimming area nestled in the Cherokee National Forest, about 30 minutes from Cleveland, TN. There’s a $3 fee to park which is very reasonable and ample parking. The area has picnic tables and grills for cooking overlooking the lake and restrooms and changing facilities for swimming. The swimming area is marked with buoys, but there are no lifeguards on duty, so swim at your own risk. The recreation area is open from 7 AM to 10 PM, and it’s a perfect place for a family picnic or just to relax and watch the sun set.
This is a pretty rustic place but I like it. We go at least once a week. Ample parking area, and short walk to benches, picnic tables and small sand beach. They have grills, also. There are 4 restrooms that serve their purpose but no soap and the condition of them is rudimentary at best. At least there has always been toilet paper! It's a slightly hilly park but there is a paved walkway that is easily navigable, walking and for walkers/wheelchairs. There is a $3 fee paid on the honor system which is a very small price for the water and view.
Really nice super cool clean place to stop and swim. This place does have a sanded beach area and dedicated swim area. No dogs are allowed in this location. There are plenty of covered pavilion style picnic benches as well, including several spots to lounge and catch some sun. Parking is pretty simple on bit days that are not busy.
Beautiful as always😍yes a smaller looking beach but at the same time not small. Even when the parking lot is full…. There is plenty of room to not be near others at all. My two kids and I have a blast when we go. A trip that is about 1 hour and 40 min away and we’ll worth it. We pack lunches and eat at the tables and swim or float! Beautiful place to take pictures!
