(from Google)there are only two courts so reservations can get competitive. also since it is outdoor it will be hot. The staff here are pretty friendly and the food is very good. Really enjoyed my giant corn dog and BLT. I am more interested in exploring the rest of the menu instead of playing pickleball
Had a great experience at Bolden Acres Beer Garden. The vibe was super laid-back and welcoming, and the staff really made the visit stand out. The drinks were awesome—especially the cherry limeade, which was easily my favorite. They also had some solid beers on tap, but what really surprised me was the frozen apricot margarita. One of the staff members offered me a sample, and it was seriously good—definitely something I’d go back for. Shoutout to Caesar (pretty sure that was his name) and another younger guy with glasses they were both super friendly and made the whole experience even better. It’s always a good sign when the staff actually care about making sure you have a good time. Overall, great drinks, great people, and a really cool spot. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Here’s a more engaging, punchy version that still feels honest and balanced: ⸻ I really wanted to love Bouldin Acres—and to be fair, it nails the vibe. It’s a great spot to hang out, grab drinks, and just enjoy the atmosphere with friends. If you’re going for that, you won’t be disappointed. But if you show up hungry…that’s where things fall apart. The food was surprisingly underwhelming, especially for the price. I ordered the brisket burrito, brisket chips & queso, and chicken fingers, and none of it hit the mark. The chicken fingers were the worst of it—overcooked and tasting like old grease to the point we couldn’t even finish them and just threw them away. The rest of the food wasn’t much better and felt like it was made with zero care or attention. On the bright side, the service was attentive and friendly, which I appreciated. But unfortunately, it couldn’t make up for the food experience. Bottom line: great drinks, great atmosphere—just don’t come hungry.
We were in Austin for the day and needed somewhere for my boys to run off some steam. We loved this place! The food was yummy and the drinks were just what you wanted! There is a ton of room and it's dog friendly. They had a guitarist playing and many people were playing pickle ball. The playground for the kids is well fenced so you don't have to worry. We would definitely come back!
If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars! We came here because it was pet friendly. Not many doggies were there. They were showing up when we were leaving. So I ordered a few things to try out. OMG, everything was sooooo delicious!! Everything was great! The ribs (garlic habanero on side) had crisp edges due to being fried and i fell in love. The Totchos with ground beef floored us (in a good way), a must have!! Cheese dip with brisket, BLT all good!! Even though we prefer mayo based coleslaw, this was vinegar based but it had a unique flavor and slightly creamy. My taste buds were dancing trying to figure out what was in the slaw. Overall I rate this place a TEN!! Thumbs up.
