(from Google)Hillside Farmacy in Austin is such a charming little gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming, cozy, and thoughtfully curated with that classic Austin character that makes you want to linger a little longer. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care, but what really stood out to me was the overall experience. Whether you’re meeting a friend for brunch, grabbing coffee, or simply looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a meal, this spot delivers. The staff was kind and attentive, the space itself is beautiful, and the entire restaurant has a calm, inviting energy that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your time there. Definitely one of those Austin spots that feels both trendy and timeless at the same time. Looking forward to going back again soon.
We rented out Hillside Farmacy for our wedding reception and had such a beautiful night! The restaurant is (obviously) so beautiful on its own that we didn’t need to bring much of our own decor, but the staff were amazing about helping us put our own little touches on the space. During the reception the staff were so organized and kind that my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the evening knowing they had the event logistics down. Our guests were raving about the food and I was particularly pleased with how nicely all of the food and drinks were presented. We were so pleased with it all and would/will return for our next event needs. Thank you, Hillside!
Hillside Farmacy has been on my list for quite some time and was finally able to visit…twice in 2 weeks because the food is that good! The owners Jade and Greg have done an excellent job of curating a delicious menu and transformed this old pharmacy into a cool atmosphere with the history of building still present. From the Farmacy Plate (meat and cheese board) and Arancini Balls as apps, I knew we were off to a great start!! For main courses, we ordered the Texas Wagyu Cheeseburger, Mushroom Pasta, and Steak Frites. My favorite of these was the mushroom pasta. I’m drooling again as I write this! Shoutout to Bird who is a fantastic server. She gave us great recommendations! Oh and I can’t forget the drinks! We ordered old fashioned drinks from the soda fountain, Hibiscus Lemonade and Turmeric Black Pepper on one trip and the Frozen Painkiller and Sandoval Daiquiri on the other. My words don’t do justice. You’ll just have to go and try it yourself. I have heard great things about their brunch too. I’d recommended getting reservations in advance because they fill up especially the patio on a nice day. Thanks Hillside Farmacy!!
One of Austin's best kept secrets! Phenomenal service and spectacular food. Flavors are off the chart. Expect elevated American classics brought from farm right to table. Home made sodas, an eclectic and interesting cocktail selection, and a full coffee bar leaves for plenty of choice in libations. Serving sizes are ample for the price. This is a Must Visit restaurant.
From the first bite to the last sip, this place delivers. The crab cake was outstanding, the perfectly seasoned steak was cooked just right and paired beautifully with rich mashed potatoes and green beans, and the espresso martini was crafted to absolute perfection. The service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The old-fashioned décor and undeniable charm give the restaurant a warm, timeless feel. A must-visit.
