Update 5/29: After a nice email exchange with Levi he invited me and my fiancé back for a meal. Service was better this time, especially Joey the host. Now I feel more comfortable returning. Especially since their coffee and breakfast burrito are so good. Thanks Levi and Joey for being helpful and kind! Made a reservation for my bachelorette group for brunch. My complaint is with the service not the food/drinks (they came out fast and were tasty). I know everyone is human and has off days but our server felt cold and didn’t introduce herself. When she brought my sister’s orange juice she spilled it accidentally all over her backpack. She came back with a new juice and towel but never apologized. My sister was upset and unable to get the stains off her backpack. I live locally and have had much better service here before but this negative experience makes me feel uncomfortable returning or recommending to others.

One of the best salmon bowls I’ve ever tried. The chicken schnitzel was perfectly crispy, and the mix of flavors was a unique and enjoyable experience. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Overall experience was that this restaurant was a bit too pricey for what we got, both in food/drinks and service. $15 for two lemonades and a can of coke for my kids, $19 French toast was a bit high for what we got, and while the server was really nice, service wasn't the best. Coffee sweeteners were forgotten when requested (daughter went to go grab one under the checkout station for me), no stirrer for the coffee (used butter knife to improvise), drip coffee refills $1 (unnecessary I think). Add-on for my meal was forgotten. I had to request it be taken off the tab. The food was good, no complaints on that. I just don't think it was worth the price. It is in a trendy spot right on touristy South Congress, so I guess that can be justification for mark ups.

We went to Two Hands for brunch on a Sunday. It was busy, but not overcrowded, and we had a reservation! We started with Crispy Brussels Spouts and they were defininitely a favorite and so delicious! The tables on either side of us ordered the Brussels as well! I had the Two Hander Burger and it was great. Very good Montana Waygu beef! It comes with shoestring style french fries that reminded me of my childhood and were so crisp and tasty (see picture!). We also had the Salmon Quinoa Bowl which is a tasty, healthy choice, salmon was terrific. The Steak and Egg was quality. The steak was slightly underseasoned but the French anchovy dressing more than made up for it! The hashbrowns and egg were both great with it! Lastly, we had the Smashed Avo Toast with smoked Salmon and it was wonderful. Also recommend the Hot Vanilla Orange Blossom Latte and for dessert, the Banana Walnut Bread topped with Espresso Mascarpone, so decadent!

Two Hands on South Congress is an absolute must for brunch in Austin. I ordered the Big Brekky and it was outstanding from start to finish. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, the Two Hands hash brown was crispy and flavorful, and the roasted tomato added a great fresh balance. The toast with jam and butter was simple but done right, and adding the three crispy bacon strips was the best decision, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. On top of the food, their mocha coffee was amazing, rich, smooth, and the perfect complement to brunch. Great atmosphere, great food, and a spot I’ll definitely be coming back to.
