(from Google)All our food was amazing; prepared well and flavorful. The delightful surprise was the chicken bog. It’s under appetizer - soooo good. I’ve been eating (and making) chicken bog all my life - and I think I’m going to amend my family recipe to include their seasoning. The cornbread was the sweet and fluffy variety, and the low country boil was delicious. They perfected SC dishes. Jordan was our server and did a great job!
We visited Feb 7 from a cruise. Port of Call was friendly prompt and tasty. I enjoyed my first low country boil in a long time being from Indiana. I can recommend Port of Call.
How do you season so well, have a good atmosphere and have food so cold it needs a sweater, especially at those tourist prices. After further thought, the food came out really fast, almost like it wasn't even cooked to order (burgers) and just sat there till it died and they hoped the salamander would keep it going, or orders would come in fast enough. Cold food when the kitchen is 15 secs walk away is unforgivable
We had a very nice late lunch here. My husband liked his dish - the slow cooked brisket. This place is also very pet friendly. The waitress brought water bowl for our pup.
Delicious Southern Comfort at Port of Call We visited Port of Call in Charleston for lunch on a Friday with a party of four and had a great experience from start to finish. We made a reservation in advance and were seated promptly inside near the bar, a cozy and lively spot with a great atmosphere. I ordered the chicken biscuit sampler, and it did not disappoint. The biscuits were incredibly fresh and buttery, and each variation had its own delicious twist. It was a generous and filling dish, beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You have to try it if you’re visiting! Overall, the service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the entire experience was smooth and satisfying. Port of Call is definitely a spot worth checking out for a laid-back, flavorful lunch in Charleston.
