Sophia's

Ordinarily our family enjoys Sophia's, we often have family meals there. The food is good and the service is usually good. We went tonight on a rainy evening. Toward the end of our meal I felt water dripping on my head from the ceiling. When I told the server she just kind of laughed and said they usually try not to use the booth when it is raining. There was no apology nor concern. It was a surprising and disappointing response.

Sophia's was busy and a little noisy, but the service was great and the food came out faster than expected. Portions and quality were both good. Nice presentation too.

Was not impressed steak was super over done, and had to power through it, could tell by looking at it when it came out it was charred, so the quality control was lacking. Also had ravioli that tasted reheated, edges of noodles were hard and inedible. Had bacon wrapped scallops— they were OKAY at best. Maybe flash fried? Scallops were unevenly heated, and bacon was VERY crispy and hot.. For the cost, it was not worth it. The restaurant was clean , and service was good. But I would personally not come back here .

Classy, upscale restaurant. Our server was great and took good care of us. My Old Fashioned was alright. The salmon was good. The ambience was nice. It was a busy night for dinner, so it's a popular place. Overall, a nice place to get a good meal.

Short: Food has great flavor with poor execution tonight. Our service was disappointing. I would still give them another try. Long : In town visiting. 1st. They have new hours not reflected on google, closing at 9 instesd of 10. (We arrived at 8 pm on the dot. 2nd. The ordering process was very rushed. We had to ask for napkins and utensils when our apps were served. (It felt like our server was in a rush to get us in & out) We ordered drinks, appetizers & dinner. The drinks and appetizers were excellent. My husband's ravioli was very good. My chicken modiga was horribly overcooked. I asked for a steak knife, explaining how tough it was, and couldn't cut it with the steak knife. Didn't eat the chicken. No comment or concern from the server. The sauce and pasta it was served with were great. 3rd. We came here specially for their dessert menu. The server took our plates and brought the check. Not asking how the food was or if we needed anything else. We left without dessert. The food has a lot of potential, and I'd love to come back and give them a 2nd try.
