BK Sweeney's Uptown Grille

We recently drove out from the city to visit our friends and have lunch. They selected this restaurant as they have been here often. We were early so we got a booth right away. We had a round of drinks while we were deciding on the food. We ended up ordering a half rack of ribs, crab slider trio and the turkey BLT. All reports were that the food was delicious. Then we had cappuccinos to top it off. Very nice. The restaurant was mostly full by the time we left including the bar area. A very busy place. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We had a great time here today.

Told my sister let's grab drinks and we ended up here since it was local to where qe live. A first time for both of us. Took her out for birthday drinks and we ended up having a whole dinner instead. Mentioned to the waitress, it was her birthday, she replied, "thank you for letting me know". At that same time, another family to the left of us had a birthday as well(not same ethnicity as my sister and I).The waitress & staff/servers came and sang happy birthday to them. Here I am thinking she will do the same for us but, our waitress only brought us the bill, the dessert menu in which we didn't want dessert as we had plenty home but, instead with a "thank you" & no HAPPY BIRTHDAY from her or the staff. Was a little discouraging but, it is what it is. Not everything is about race BUT, it would make you feel so when your not given the same service as others who are of a different race than what you are. Other than that, it was okay.

A small group of us had lunch here at noon. Service staff were friendly and the dining area was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I had the Turkey Avocado BLT with Sweet Potato Fries. It was delicious! It seemed very busy at that time, almost all tables taken except a couple by the front door, which likely explains the wait for the food and then the check. It's one of our usual spots so we will be back! Highly recommend for lunch with friends!

I love everything about this place. Calamari flaky and traditional with great marinara sauce to go with it hamburger juicy fantastic ! salad, crisp . atmosphere : other people in the joint were cool an look to be having fun location : has a parking lot . All in all a wonderful good reason to go to garden city even if you’re not anywhere nearby! See you again
