(from Google)Overall, quite unhappy with our experience. Went out for a Valentine’s Day double date with my husband and friends and was very excited. I had been to 2020 Scratch Kitchen and was recommended this place as they are supposedly similar. However, I was let down. I ordered a Valentine’s special, it was a lump crab pasta. Got the pasta and the sauce was horribly broken. There was a puddle of butter at the bottom of my dish. The pasta was stuck together and tough. All the features of the dish and the textures reminded me of pasta that you had taken to go and microwaved the next day. That’s exactly what it resembled. The crab tasted packaged (but I expected almost nothing less from fish in Texas). And it needed SALT. The flavor of the sauce was nonexistent. My husband ordered the chicken tinga enchiladas. Those were delicious and the refried beans on the side were also good. However, the side of rice, again, lacked SALT. We got the queso for our appetizer and our friends got calamari. The salsa that came with the queso was amazing. Queso resembled Velveeta and the pork tasted microwaved. It was begging for more flavor. The calamari was like chewing on fried gum. Our waitress was pretty good, although she did disappear for long periods of time (15+ minutes at a time). She wasn’t a bad or great waitress overall. EDIT: I was up all night with horrible food poisoning after eating here. Avoid this place at all costs.
We visited Hard count for the first time for a birthday celebration and were very happy with the service, food and price. The manager went out of his way to make sure we had suitable seating for our group, the servers were attentive and very friendly. Then menu is such a good mix of choices that satisfied everybodys pallette and made it hard to choose what to eat. The drinks were well made. What's so crazy is that for such a great experience and such great food this wasnt much more expensive then going to a fast food restaurant these days. We will be back .
No wait time. We were seated right away. The ambiance was inviting with nice decor. Plenty of TV's. Our sever Paulina was fantastic, with plenty of personality plus. She is the true definition of Customer Service. She was always checking in on us to make sure that we were okay. She gave excellent suggestions. We ordered Just Winging it Lemon Pepper Wings with Blue Cheese dipping sauce and Salmon Street Tacos. Oh my goodness the food was exceptional, it was served her hot and flavorful. Just delicious. Hats off to the cooks. We will be back when we're in town.
Returned for the first time in 4 years. Got to share some love. Paulina our server was awesome. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, very attentive to the table. We had Mamas Fried Pork Chop with mash potatoes and green beans. For $17 it was a LOT of food and GOOD food. Y’all. $17 is a great price. Also had Almond Crusted Chicken Salad. Very good! Had Enchiladas for a picky eater. VERY good! Add $6 brunch cocktails (Saturday) and very addictive fried pickles with homemade ranch???? Yes. For. A. Win! Will be back soon!
What a treat! Literally! We had reservations elsewhere, but we were hungry and couldn't wait, so we looked at their menu. All this great food, at such a great price! A scratch kitchen! We had tried their half off happy hour appetizers, all wonderful! Main course was blackened salmon and enchiladas, and they were EXCELLENT. HC puts their own twist on their food, and trust me, you will not be disappointed. Our server was Isiah, and one of the best! Hes on it, he's around every corner, but he'll never bother you! Thank you Hard Count for the amazing experience!
