(from Google)Came in today to get lunch and the appetizer came out quickly and we ordered our entrees. After we got our appetizer a couple of empty tables filled up. We ordered a salad and a sandwich. Over thirty minutes later the two tables that filled up after our appetizer came got their entrees. When we went to find our server she was finally bringing our food over. The hot sandwich was cold and the croutons on my salad had been sitting in the dressing so long that they were mush. My first time her and I will never return. Had always heard great things, but today’s service was awful.
We have dined at Natty Greene’s multiple times now since moving to Greensboro. The food is fantastic and have never second guessed what we ordered. The gluten friendliness is outstanding and offer plenty of options. The only negative we have experienced is with the wait staff in the upper level dining area. We have been seated up there twice with different wait staff each time. Both occurrences were during early lunch on the weekend with the same experiences. The wait staff is not very attentive. 10+ minutes to be greeted, another 10+ minutes to get drinks (usually just water) and another 10+ minutes to order our food. Once the food arrives, it’s a drop and go by the staff not to be seen again until the check is about to be delivered. When we have been seated downstairs, it’s the complete opposite. Staff is very attentive and frequently checking in to refill drinks or handle any potential issue. Natty Greene’s is one of our favorite spots as the food is always a hit but the staff needs some attention, at least upstairs. We usually dine early afternoon on the weekends when it is “mildly” busy but have dined for dinner also. Always the same experiences with the staff. I recommend being seated downstairs if possible.
Embarrassing to say, first time I have ever been here. Beer was fantastic and true to style which is nice. Space is awesome inside and out. Hope to go again soon.
We were looking for a dog friendly brewery, with a good selections of beers and food, and downtown Greensboro. Natty Green’ Downtown offers all of the above. Prices are reasonable. Great and tasty food selection, with interesting IPA selections, and very friendly and helpful team. The beers are excellent. My score a solid 4.8.
The fries and wings are Amazing. We had an awesome male waiter as well. However we order the chicken Philly and it was extremely salty. The staff was happy t replace it with another order of wings. They are dog friendly and have dog bowls for water. The outside has an mist area for hot days. I will be back.
