Sassafras Southern Bistro

My girlfriend and I were visiting Greenville for the weekend, and we had dinner at Sassafras Southern Bistro on a busy Saturday night. We started off with the Ahi Tuna appetizer that was fantastic. For dinner, I had the Sassafras Stuffed Fried Chicken. It was so delicious. My girlfriend had the Seafood Trio and she really liked it. We also split a bottle of wine. Sassafras really impressed us with its food and service. It was a great date night for us.

Sassafras Southern Bistro delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. We were a large party, and the service was seamless—attentive, organized, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. Every plate arrived hot and at the same time, which is no small feat for a big table. The food itself was prepared beautifully and full of flavor. Each dish was cooked to perfection, thoughtfully presented, and absolutely delicious. Everyone at the table was impressed, both with the quality of the cuisine and the professionalism of the staff. Highly recommend for group gatherings or any occasion where you want consistently excellent food and service.

This was my first time here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation but were seated immediately. I got the beef tips with parmesan risotto and substituted the green beans for the asparagus. They accommodated my request to leave the blue cheese crumbles off of the beef tips as I'm not a fan. Our waitress was very attentive, and our drinks were refilled in plenty of time. I will definitely go back!

Celebrated my moms 42nd birthday here! Our meals were delicious, the mashed potatoes were so yummy. I ordered the special which was gnocchi & blackened chicken- the peppercorn cream sauce was perfectly balanced. We encountered an issue with the Mahi we ordered but the waitress was so kind and quick to help. The manager stopped by twice to check on us and was so friendly! Great food, great service! Although the weather was frigid their heated patio area was so warm and inviting!

We celebrated my 27th birthday and the restaurant showed us so much love! The food was amazing and the patio was even better to enjoy. We definitely recommend them to anyone! The owner came and personally wished me happy birthday! The food was so delicious we got a plate to go. Will go back soon for sure!
