Big Lug Canteen

Absolutely delightful experience with rustic atmosphere and exceptional service. Gambled on the chorizo pizza and won. Any establishment that can successfully make a delicious rare pizza can have my money. The chicken strips and cheeseburger I stole from the children at my table were also acceptable. Will return if in the area!

Big lug canteen serves the most amazing Nashville style wings. The atmosphere has the fun vibe in the evenings. We ordered Nashville style wings with garlic, habanero dressing. Wings were flavourful and the spice level hit the spot. They have unique toppings for wood fired pizza. I ordered a tropical chorizo pizza, oh boy it was really something different than the regular pizzas. The combination of mango, chorizo made it unique, the dough was light and really fresh. I look forward to try their famous poutine in my next visit☺️

I had lunch here on the Devour Indy menu! Let me say it was fantastic. The pizza is amazing, the beet salad was THE Best! It is worth the hour and 15 minute drive for this!! The Fundido was really good as well. I will definitely be back. Great service and staff!

Decent place to hang out. Beers were a hit or miss, liked a few but others felt flat. The food was decent and my poutine was great, except I expected a little more meat on my plate for an entree. The kids menu is good. our server was kind and patient.

We had a great experience at Big Lug! What I didn’t know is that they’re owned by Half Liter which I’ve been to as well. We walked in and they weren’t busy so we immediately got a table. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive to us. For food, we started with the breadsticks as an app. Those were really good! As my entree, I got the Tenderloin with curly fries. Both were phenomenal. The fries were crispy and hot, and the Tenderloin was fried to perfection. Overall, I’ll definitely make it back here at some point!
