(from Google)We were greeted by the man who owns the place. Super nice & very personable. We arrived 5-10 minutes before open and he welcomed us in to have a seat. The fried mushrooms were the best ever. I got the tenders, fries, and slaw. The fries taste & look freshly cut/made. My mom & I were thoroughly impressed & left happy! We never knew this restaurant was here, but it’s definitely a must! Can’t wait to try something new next time.
I had the fish and chips, which I really enjoyed. It came with coleslaw, and the coleslaw was very good, highly recommend. We also ordered the chicken fried chicken, which comes with two sides; chose collard greens and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were okay, but the collard greens were under-seasoned and had a gritty, sandy texture, so I wasn’t able to eat them. We also ordered a vegetarian plate, where you can choose three or four sides; chose four. The vegetarian plate was okay overall, but the biscuits were definitely the highlight, they were really good. Customer service was excellent, very warm and inviting. Overall, it was a good experience, just a few small hiccups here and there.
Delicious! Great atmosphere, excellent service and very tasty food. I had the bone in pork chop special with broccoli and beer cheese Mac n cheese. We also loved the build your own burger, carnitas, and fried pickles. Good beer selection too. Highly recommended. Looking forward to coming in warmer weather too with the patio seating.
Love the out door patio bar area - very casual laid back place ! Not foo foo! Good service Griffen- friendly staff - mixed drinks rim& coke $7 - glass of wine same - we had the blackened grilled shrimp appetizer it was excellent! Little spicy 🌶️ loved it ! I got a vegetable place BEWARE I got 4 thinking cracker barrel size was Texas size ! So good size portions on food that’s a big PLUS nowadays - I had the collard greens the vinegar is cooked in the greens and it’s heavy in vinegar- I prefer to taste the greens more but that’s just me - pinto beans ( good has a bit of different seasonings in them ) taco Mac was interesting - & Brussels sprouts roasted with balsamic vinegar- I liked but he did not like the balsamic - He liked his country fried steak & mashed potatoes . My mom had baked beans ,cinnamon apples & Mac with beer cheese - they make their beer cheese in house - we were so full took food home and 2 banana puddings $3-small to go - so nice to sit outside ! Was not crowded but usually is !! So I thought the food was good not great - the vinegar & seasoning over powered the taste of the food ! Love the vibe there ! Reminded me of Louie’s Back Yard in Key west but in atmosphere ONLY ! I will say they were out of cream for coffee and milk our server said - so my mom didn’t get her coffee - but farm fresh produce or krogers is right there -it wasn’t busy would it be good to send someone to buy gallon of milk and half & half - for your customers ? Just a thought!
Our daughter treated my wife and I to lunch at Emma's. First time experience, and all I can say is that it was phenomenal! The food was hot, with generous portions, and delicious! Our server was on top of it, and the atmosphere was relaxed. You will need to arrive by 11 A. M. If you want to find parking, because the locals flood the place.
