(from Google)1st authentic Indian food experience and 100% a good time! If your spice tolerance isn't super high the mild option is a good flavorful spice while medium builds up with each bite to a bit of intolerance. My husband and I really enjoyed the food! The place is small and cozy nothing super fancy if that's your kind of thing! If we are ever craving Indian food this is gonna be our spot 😊 Pictured: Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, Gongura Chicken Curry, and Traditional Goat Curry. (The darker is the Gongura)
Everything was amazing! I had Pani Puri, it’s so good it’s addicting. A friend asked me to try the Vada pov and it too is delicious! Loved it with squeezed lime and the chilies. I don’t recall the name of the chicken dish, but it too was excellent! It had a cashew and almond base, 10/10 recommend!!!
I normally don't eat Indian food but my husband wanted to go. This place was so unexpectedly warm and inviting. I had the biryani level 5 and it was fiery and delicious. The best flavor and the naan bread smells amazing. The food, the atmosphere, and the flavor were all intoxicating. Perfect Valentines night.
I love Indian. Curries, Naan, dahls, tandoori anything.... Clean, bright, friendly. Good overall food but my Tandor chicken was so overdone it was a brick. The other items good but light on actual meat. Lunch special wasn't so special but you could tell that a real, full dish would be good. Here's the Breakdown: Quality ingredients, friendly service, average lunch special +4 stars. I would go back for a full meal
Food Quality: Dishes are packed with flavor, using fresh ingredients and authentic spices. Recommended for their delicious and balanced taste. Service and Ambiance: The staff is described as bit professional, but attentive, and friendly, making for a warm and welcoming dining experience. The ambiance is often noted as perfect for a pleasant meal . Cleanliness: restaurant's cleanliness is with good standards. While overwhelmingly positive, some reviews have mentioned: The food here is quite good, especially the mutton curry — though there’s a small issue. if you mention any problem with it, they tend to remove that dish from your bill, which is nice but also a bit odd. The service is attentive? .., but if you need salt, make sure to ask at least three times before you actually get it! The only downside is the sunlight during lunchtime — it can get quite bright, so choosing the right seat makes a big difference for a comfortable dining experience. Also, if you want to change tables, be prepared to carry all the plates, glasses, and food yourself from one table to another. Overall: Ugadi Indian Grill is a recommended spot for anyone seeking delicious and authentic Indian cuisine in Tennessee.
