We decided to try this place out before heading to Woodridge for a movie. I parked to the far left of the restaurant for easier parking. We came here around 7:12 pm on a Saturday night. They have two kiosks to order from. I’m not going to take off a star for other customers. I know other reviewers do that for some reason. They were both occupied and it must have felt like they were trying to order for 10-15 mins. Time was moving so slow. Kiosks are supposed to be faster people! We ended up going to the register and we still finished before those people. When it’s not busy, there are more than enough tables. Btw, the place emptied out around 7:40 pm. I would come when it’s not at the peak times. Pricing can be slightly expensive if you decide to try the dirty soda with your meal. Service was extremely friendly and they were wiping the tables clean after that rush. We ordered the southern charm sandwich combo. I ordered a cup of cheese and upgraded my drink to the creamsicle dirty soda. My girlfriend ordered the honey glazed tender combo with an upgrade to the Hawaiian dream dirty soda. You get a free ice cream with any entree. They have 6 different sauces you can choose from, by the drinks. The fried chicken was really good. I don’t like those pencil thin chicken sandwiches from Chik-fil-a. I like the thicker ones you find from Popeyes, Fry the Coop, and Budlong. Minnie’s is thick, juicy, and crispy. The fries were not soggy at all, they were firm and moist. The dirty sodas were good but I would say the Hawaiian dream was the better of the two. I only tried Minnie’s sauce, Dippin’ sauce, and the herb buttermilk ranch. Those 3 were all solid. I would come back to try the other sandwiches and dirty sodas.

First time eating here, this place was awesome! Went on a Saturday night, it was packed! Better than Raising Caines. 10/10.

This a cute little chicken joint with a fun, vintage flare. I came with a friend (and each with a kid) and stood outside in the freezing cold to check out their grand opening event. It was worth it! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Something about the flavor of the chicken was uniquely different than some other chicken places. If I had to guess maybe a buttermilk twist? The meals are quite pricey for what they are, and that’s really my biggest complaint. Though with coleslaw, fries, bread and ice cream i guess you get a decent amount. Think of it this way, you don’t have to go to a separate place for dessert afterwards so you save money there. The dirty sodas (and cold brews) are amazing and fun, the price is decent if you ever wanted to just drop in for one. The sizes are generous. I had the Big Wave which was delicious. My daughter had a monthly special called Minnie’s Magic and it had rainbow airheads in it. She was so excited! The fries and coleslaw are yummy and the FREE soft serve (with purchase) was a nice touch but they only offer mint and vanilla (and a swirl of the two). I find the flavor fun and unique personally, rare to find mint soft serve. Perhaps this is for St Patrick’s day, not sure if it is permanent so get in there if you want to try it! I am gluten and dairy intolerant so I asked if the coconut cream had dairy in it and the cashier said no so I gave it a try. I asked if they could also do “naked” tenders and I don’t know if it’s always a no or just because they were serving a large group for their event, but I had to get breaded and just remove the breading. This place is a no-go for celiacs. A gluten free option would be nice with the rising number of wheat allergies. They do not have a kids menu but they do have a three piece chicken tender meal. Also the wraps are pretty small. My 6 year old housed hers along with one of my chicken tenders. Final conclusion is that the food did NOT hurt me with my intolerances, I did not have any reaction so I can confirm the coconut cream is dairy free (beware the regular cream). And the food overall was good. Cute interior and have to say, what a fun way to chat with new people as we stood in line. Everyone was so kind and friendly, there is hope for peace in this world. ❤️
