(from Google)We came here to celebrate my friend-we go out to eat once a month together and this was her birthday celebration! She is vegan and I am not but that didn’t stop us! We got there at 4:00pm as they close at 6pm. They had a lot of carryout orders but we had the restaurant to our selves and it was nice! The server was super attentive and friendly and answered all our questions. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mack stack which was a take on a Big Mac and was so delicious! My friend had the Cuban and that was also delicious! They have a homemade coleslaw with raisins and that was also delicious! The prices are so reasonable. Our meal included the burger, fries, coleslaw and a drink which we enjoyed the lemonade/hibiscus tea mix. The restaurant has a cute wall with a sign for pictures and was clean and had plenty of seating. It was a great place to enjoy food-whether you are a vegan or not-although the entire menu is vegan!
Visiting the area and decided to look for a vegan restaurant to (also) introduce my friends to this type of food. So as you can imagine, I was hoping for an impressive experience. It did not disappoint. We got there too early (our fault) and thought we’d have to find something to do to kill some time but the owner opened the door and started chatting with us. She invited us in. We were served beverages and an appetizer snack until the kitchen was officially warmed up and open.
The best plant based food on the west coast of Florida. Half our family are not even vegan and they absolutely loved the food. Wish I took more photos before we finished most of the food.
We tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and the Cuban sandwich, and our kid had the grilled cheese which was really good. The Philly cheesesteak was definitely the highlight. The seitan was flavorful, the texture was great, and the cheese sauce was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Highly recommend trying the Philly sandwich!
Follow up, per chef response: No one wants to go to Any establishment and repeatedly complain about service, which was indeed an issue here. Despite this, I originally provided 4 stars because we enjoyed the actual plated meal - with Exceptions. I provided clear photos of what was provided Before I had to raise my concerns. YOU chose to serve that, seeing the obvious discrepancy and coming out with excuses. I never received enough slaw to start - as evidenced in the photos, and my guest Asked for more slaw which we had zero issue with paying for... Esp since we were charged for your "natural lemonade." I do not appreciate you coming to attempt to make my review appear anything other than what it is: my experience and opinion. I'll just make whatever you have on your menu in the comfort of my own home or give a different establishment my money. The overall experience - after having to mention the obvious disproportion between the 2 "exact same" sandwiches - was pleasant enough. I will not be returning, however.. Although I appreciate the chef coming out to attempt to make things right, I still had a few issues with service. The lemonade is coming from a plastic tub fountain like you see at 7-11 and it's just disgusting... All while being the highest priced drink on the menu! My guest was grossed out, requested for water to be substituted and yet was Still charged full price for a lemonade never enjoyed! That's NOT good service. Also, I was anticipating a combo would involve a bit more slaw, but it appears the extra $4 price is mostly to receive fries. They are good but not ideally healthy for vegan meals..
