(from Google)⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great food, drinks, and views by the bay! We had a fantastic dinner at Calvert's in the Heights. The absolute highlight was the crab-stuffed grouper—the fish is caught locally in the Gulf and tasted incredibly fresh, rich, and perfectly prepared. Paired it with a couple of excellent, crisp gin martinis that hit the spot. The restaurant is conveniently located right near the airport on the bay, offering an incredible, relaxing waterfront view. To top it all off, the service was absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and fast. Knocked off just one star because not quite 5-star, but we will absolutely be back for that grouper and the view!
Love this restraunt. Always a stop on special occasions & when company comes. Food is always good. But today was a little disappointing. Ordered Fish & Chips. Seems like the fish may have gotten smaller and your getting more chips. Today, 1 piece average size, other 3 were comparatively smaller than past experiences. Also, must say we were disappointed in the waitress, maybe just a case of some additional training needed. She, never offered water when dropping off menu's. Never came back to check on us once she dropped food off. We were wanting to order a 2nd drink about midway thru lunch, but no luck, she never came back to check on us. Finally came back after we were done to drop check off, said "I take that now" before we even had a chance to look at receipt. Never asked us if we wanted desert or anything else. She was friendly, not rude or anything but not a good waitress, at least not today. Usually don't leave a negative review, but we like this place and want come back. We know you can do better Calverts.
Ordered the white cheddar poutine fries and the fish amd chips. Pouting was wonderfully savory and everyone at the table commented on wanting to order it again next time. The batter on the fish was light and crisp with a wonderful crunch. Work was being done on the exterior and a prestine view across the water. Service was lacking. Long wait to have our order taken, to check up on us, never had an offer for drink refills. The restaurant was mostly empty, so why the delays was unknown. Would gladly go again for the food and views.
I thought I know every restaurant in Pensacola, but somehow I missed this amazing place!! Wow, impressed. Food is delicious. Everything. We start with appetizers- mussels, Scotch-egg and beef rolls. Then we got Grouper, fish and chips, scammpi shrimp and tuna ahi. Everything is great and we reorder Scotch egg. We have an England friend with us and she said the Scotch egg is the high level. So we’ve enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our server guy Jordy is number one.
Alex was an amazing bartender. I have been a bartender for 26 years so I recognize good service. I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the female bartender (maybe Abbey or Tiffany…..I know…..I’m an idiot and I really am awful with names. I”ll know your drink before I learn your name. 🤣🤣), but she was just as good!! I love great bartenders with charisma!!! The atmosphere of the bar was awesome. We happened to show up for “music bingo” unplanned and had the best time ever. Food was great as well. Can’t wait to be a regular when I move here!!!
