(from Google)Verbena was amazing!! The food and the atmosphere was immaculate. I ordered the filet and potatoes and the flavor was SO good.
First time dining here for dinner and had a lovely experience. Friendly staff and food came out quick for a busy Valentine's Day dinner service. I'd recommend every item we ordered but was especially impressed with the pan-seared Amish chicken breast. We'll be back to try some new dishes when they rotate their menu next and hopefully take advantage of that big outdoor patio. Highly recommend!
🍻Verbena Still Delivers for Our Anniversary❣️ We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Verbena (our fourth visit since they opened), hoping it would be special—and it more than lived up to expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, service, and flavors reminded us why this place has become one of our favorites. We started with the dinner rolls (soft, warm, served with whipped honey butter) and then moved on to the fish of the day and the pan-seared trout—both beautifully executed, fresh, and satisfying. The trout, especially, struck the perfect balance of texture and seasoning. 🤤 What makes Verbena so compelling is its seasonally driven contemporary menu, its focus on fresh seafood and elevated American cuisine, along with a thoughtful wine list and craft cocktails. Their staff always impress: friendly, informed, and truly invested in making your evening memorable. Pros 👍 • Excellent consistency: every visit feels reliable and elevated • Fantastic seafood & trout dishes • Dinner rolls are a standout and must-order • Warm, knowledgeable service & inviting atmosphere • Strong cocktail & wine program, and scenic patio seating Cons 👎 • Can get quite busy, so reservations are wise • Noise level can rise when the restaurant is full (ask for a quieter table) • Some menu items are seasonal—don’t assume every favorite is available every night 🌟Pro tips: • Start with the Parker House rolls—they set a wonderful tone for the meal. • Request a table on the patio or near windows for a more relaxed ambiance • Ask your server about the fish of the day—that’s where chef creativity often shines • For special occasions, mention it! They often add little touches (we experienced this subtly on our anniversary) Dining at Verbena reminded us that some experiences only grow richer with time—and here, excellence is never taken for granted. 🥰
Bread Pudding, Cucumber Gimlet, and Chicken Milanese — 10/10. Every bite was incredible! The chicken was perfectly crisp, the bread pudding was rich and comforting, and the cucumber gimlet was refreshingly balanced. The setting in Meadow Brook Park made it all even better — peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect backdrop for an amazing meal.
I wanted to take a moment to tell Anna and all the staff at Verbena THANK YOU! With 48 hours notice, our event venue space CLOSED and we were scrambling to find a new venue available to host 25 for dinner. Anna and her team went above and beyond to coordinate details and provide the most wonderful Plan B experience I will likely ever encounter. Usually, when you have mere days to pivot, you expect to flex and have to settle for less than ideal. That was not the case! Anna was clear in her communications with us about our event and with just 48 hours, delivered a gorgeous event that our guests will remember and have already requested to come back again next year. So, Anna and the Verbena team, thank you! The food was amazing, the ambiance, both on your beautiful patio and in the private dining room was *chefs kiss* perfect. We are forever grateful to you and want to shout from the rooftops about our wonderful experience. --Your friends at Eaglecom Marketing
