Uncle Joe's New York Diner

Uncle Joe’s New York Diner exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. The Chicken & Waffles were the perfect combination of crispy, juicy chicken and fluffy, golden waffles. We also tried the Shrimp Alfredo, and it was outstanding! The Alfredo sauce was incredibly rich, smooth, and creamy, coating every bite of pasta perfectly, while the shrimp were fresh and cooked just right. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everything came out fresh and hot. If you’re looking for authentic comfort food with amazing flavors, Uncle Joe’s New York Diner is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be coming back!

I really wanted to like this place because it’s close to home and I was hoping it would become one of our regular breakfast spots. Unfortunately, after this experience, we won’t be returning. The food itself was okay. Nothing exceptional, but decent enough that we would have come back if the service and billing had been handled properly. Our server was very nice but he had a very difficult time taking our order. He came back to our table three or four different times because he couldn’t remember or understand what we had ordered. We were a party of six, but our order wasn’t overly complicated. Three of us ordered the Pancake Supreme, and one person ordered the French Toast Supreme. We substituted the sausage for an egg, but still expected to receive the bacon and ham that were included with the meal. Instead, none of those meals came with the ham. To make matters worse, we were charged separately for the eggs and bacon, even though the bacon was already supposed to be included. We were also charged for a baked potato that we never ordered. Then an automatic gratuity of $28 was added to our bill. We asked for it to be removed, and while the staff did remove it, we had to wait around 20 minutes just to get a corrected check. A check that was still incorrect despite multiple trips back to the ‘’manager”. By the end, we were left confused by the bill because several charges didn’t seem to match what we ordered. Between missing food, incorrect charges, having to question the bill, and waiting for it to be corrected, the entire experience was frustrating. It was pretty late at night and we have 4 young kids. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What was disappointing was that there were so many mistakes in a single visit. We left feeling more stressed than satisfied. It’s unfortunate because this restaurant is conveniently located, and we were genuinely hoping it would become one of our go-to breakfast spots. Instead, our first visit will likely be our last. Really disappointing because it’s less than a 5 minute drive to us.

Wonderful Family-Friendly Spot — Highly Recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic experience at Uncle Joe's Diner in Apollo Beach! The food was excellent—I had a greak salad with chicken that was fresh and delicious, and the quesadilla my wife had was outstanding. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. The service was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and Lydia made us feel right at home. The environment is clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with a really nice atmosphere throughout. What stood out most was the warm, family-friendly vibe. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable bringing everyone, and the positive energy really makes the meal that much better. We'll definitely be back. If you're in Apollo Beach, Uncle Joe's is well worth a visit!

Everything we ordered was very good. Kids love their especially their milkshakes. The service was excellent.

Absolutely loved this diner. The atmosphere is amazing, and the staff were extremely welcoming. They have a large menu with plenty of options, and the food was really good. I see several lower star reviews due to the price of food being slightly expensive, but what restaurant isn't anymore. The food portions were not small, so there were no complaints from my experience.
