I had gone to the pub for the first time for a retirement party. I liked enough to try it again for dinner with friends. Definitely a different experience this time around. The first server didn't get my order correct. She checked on us one time after the food was brought out but before I could take a bite. After taking the first bite I realized there was a sauce on my food that the server told me was not. So I ate a few extremely crunchy onion rings and a pickle. When another server finally came around I explained the situation. She said she would take it off my bill since I only took a bite of the sandwich. She came back to tell me she would do this time but they don't normally do it when the meal is half eaten. How was it half eaten? She said most of my onion rings were eaten! What a laugh! How many onion rings did she think I got??? I told her I was waiting for our server but was told they don't have assigned tables. They all just walk around and check on tables. They don't even do that well. We'll if they all share tables, they can share they tip they all earned.

I meet someone there for drinks. The atmosphere was very nice, upscale but but pretentious, with nice appointments to the decor. Arriving at 9:30, I thought it would be busier, but it didn't pick up until almost 11:00. It wasn't overly crowded, which is highly desirable for me, personally.

This was my first time trying Roo Pub. I really liked the atmosphere with upbeat/ chill music, dimmed lighting, big screen TVs with all kinds of sporting events surrounding the walls of the pub, and various style of seating (bar stools, high tables, couches). The waitresses were kind and attentive. For the food we ordered the following: gator bites for an appetizer, side spicy Caesar salad, and chicken wings (mango habanero and sweet chili). The food was tasty and filling, definitely had enough for leftovers. Also, I enjoyed my flavorful strong Bloody Mary. I see myself coming back to try more drinks and food soon!

The service and food was not pleasant at all, no one even came to us to ask what we need or who we are! also the food was a no go and of course didn’t worth the price. The quality was not good at all, we couldn’t even finish one meal. The vibe was pleasant and they can definitely be better.

If you’re going to this place expecting Australian cuisine, don’t. The cultural significance is mostly in the decor, and that’s about it. However, the burgers and hot dogs are tasty. It has a cool vibe, making it great for gathering with friends or watching sports events.
