Ben was an excellent bartender, read me like a poem and took care of guests by need. Epic level service. Oysters were amazing, burger was cooked to a pin point medium. Very lovely atmosphere. You will pay for quality, but it will be delivered. Highly recommend.

Location, location, location... I reckon everything comes down to the prime location of Beach Chalet. Get a window seat to watch the coastal views of the bay and enjoy a sunset if possible. The food was just OK, nothing was good, great or outstanding, including the beer. Also the service is a bit of something to be desired as well. We came here on a whim, we didn't have reservations, so we did expect an long wait and were also OK with sitting at the bar. We ended up at the bar, the hostess mentioned there was nothing available, but never gave us a wait time. We saw a few spots open at the bar, so we just opted to grab them. There was only one bartender working his tail off. He was very backed up and didn't have any help. We wanted to be as respectful as possible, so we tried bother him as little as possible. We definitely spent a decent amount of time waiting. Finally some back up arrived; pleasant fellow, but didn't move with much urgency. Took our orders and disappeared for a bit. The wait for the food wasn't actually that bad. The kitchen staff was stacked... STARTERS: ~ Steamed Mussels - 3.5/5 Simple steamed Mussels. They were just OK. The sauce was nice, if you let the Sourdough bread soak it up. Nothing to rave about. ~ Buttermilk Fried Calamari - 2.5/5 Meh. The Calamari were NOT crispy at all. Actually they were fairly soggy. Flavor was OK. DINNER: - SEAFOOD: ~ Crab Carbonara - 2.5/5 Another dish that was just OK. Far to pricey for the amount of Crab they put in there...I think it might have been one leg! I kid you not!! Honestly, I can make this better. I'd go as far as to say, the frozen Carbonara from Trader Joe's is better. Might not be a fair comparison as it actually came from Italy... ~ Chalet Beer Sampler - 2/5 I was curious about the beers when I realized Beach Chalet was also a brewery. I opted for the Beer sampler when I found out all the beers were made in house. Meh. I thought the Blonde was the best one they had. They also ran out of a few beers. Best thing about our evening was the parking, lol. The ambiance is brilliant, that's about it for me. Can't see myself voluntarily returning...

This place had the most amazing view. Great food and absolutely the best bartender for our whole trip! We ended up coming here twice just because he was so good and treated us so well.

I had a really nice dinner with my family here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The spaghetti with crab meat was to die for. The service was amazingly friendly. The ambiance of the place was amazing as well. There is nothing I disliked about this place. I give them a lot of stars ⭐️!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great overall experience — especially if you love fresh seafood and good drinks. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that this place takes pride in its quality ingredients and relaxed atmosphere. The fries were surprisingly tasty, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside — a simple dish, but done very well. One of the real highlights for me was the wide selection of beers. They offer many different options, and every one we tried was enjoyable. It’s always nice to find a spot that pairs good food with a well-curated drink list, and this place certainly delivers on the beverage side. The drinks complement the food perfectly and add to the overall dining experience. When it comes to the seafood, everything felt very fresh and flavorful. The fried squid was especially delicious — tender, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. That dish alone was worth the visit. The fish dishes also stood out for their freshness and quality, showing that the kitchen really knows how to handle seafood with care. The ambience is pleasant and relaxed, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner with friends or a place to unwind after a long day, this spot hits the mark. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. While some places might skimp on drink variety or quality ingredients, this restaurant clearly does not. I would absolutely recommend it — especially if you’re in the mood for great fries, fresh seafood, and a cold beer in a welcoming setting!
