Wow, this place was a total disappointment. No Diet Pepsi, no diet soda available, no white zin. It was pizza night could not substitute the draft for wine or even a soda. The pizza subpar at best. With all the other pizza options near the beach this is def not a top choice. Considering we couldn’t even order the drinks we wanted we knew we didn’t want to spend a lot on entrees. The soup was absolutely terrible. The meatball was the driest thing I have ever eaten. We didn’t even hardly eat any of the food including the pizza. Below is the women’s bathroom and a sad looking chicken wing. We will not be back. We would not recommend. I have visited many upscale restaurants. Any would have substituted a soda for a beer, some people don’t drink and/or are driving. Upscale places have clean bathrooms. Upscale places have drinks in stock. Upscale places would not serve a chicken wing looking like that. Upscale places would not respond to negative reviews like this place does. We were not rude. We simply paid and left. Said nothing negative until this review. Don’t waste your money. I personally don’t trust the 5 star reviews.

Looking for a nice breakfast / brunch stop while in St Pete with my family. Stopped into the Sunset Kitchen and Drinks and were immediately greeted by friendly staff. The breakfasts were great along and the atmosphere and staff were top notch.

Place is nice. Service was really good. Specials every night. Went for pizza night and ordered too much. Pizza was a bit under loaded with toppings, but was brought more pepperoni upon request. It was BIG and good, but very, very greasy. Prices were a bit high for other stuff on menu. Would certainly try something else on menu when on special.

Great place! I don’t know why it wasn’t busy at all. It was very easy to order, grab a seat, and enjoy the sunset, just like the name suggests. Stefanos T from Greece was AMAZING. He was such a kind person and even shared a bit about his life and how he got his job, which made the experience more personal. The food was great and they have a good variety of options. They also have a wall décor featuring St. Pete Beach where you can take photos. The place looks newly renovated and has a really nice ambiance both inside and outside. We preferred sitting outside to enjoy the view and the sunset.

Skidder's rebrand into Sunset Kitchen is everything St. Pete Beach needed. With Chef Marcos leading the kitchen, the new menu is thoughtfully curated, highlighting locally sourced, high-quality ingredients while still staying approachable and affordable--a rare and refreshing combo. The remodel is absolutely stunning. Think beach luxe: vibrant, airy, and open, with a welcoming coastal energy that instantly elevates the space without losing its laid-back charm. Beyond the food and design, the staff and new ownership truly shine. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely excited about what they've created--and it shows in every detail. Whether you're a local or visiting St. Pete Beach, Sunset Kitchen is the new go-to spot. It's perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner, with live music, TVs at the bar for sports, and a menu that offers something for every age and taste. Can't say enough good things--this place is a must-visit.
