(from Google)Golden Isles Brewing Co is a great stop if you’re in the area. They have a solid beer selection, though it’s worth noting they don’t offer flights — which was a bit of a bummer for us since we love trying multiple beers without committing to full pours, especially with some stronger options. What really makes this place unique is the location. It’s set in a former gas station that’s been completely reimagined, with a beautifully done and super enjoyable patio. Inside, the funky art pieces add a lot of character and really elevate the space. One thing to know is that they don’t brew their beer on-site, so it’s more of a taproom than an actual brewery, although they do offer other drink options beyond beer. Overall, it’s a fun, relaxed spot with great vibes; and a big plus for us is that it’s pet-friendly.
I loved their indoor and outdoor areas. Very relaxing and chill when we visited in the afternoon. Lots of shady spots. We didn't bring my dog, but she would have loved it with the AstroTurf plus there were lots of dog water bowls and a jar of dog cookies outside. Beer was fairly good + guest taps.
Update: We went back to Golden Isles and discovered the 21 and over area. As soon as I saw it I said: “This is a great idea.” Coincidentally the owner just replied to my original review asking if we saw the 21+ area…and now I can say I have. I’m increasing my rating to five stars because the number of kids was really the only dissatisfactory aspect and now there’s a way to escape that. Great idea…and THANK YOU Original review follows… Great Place…it’s a popular neighborhood brewery featuring a variety of very good brews for every pallet. Indoor and outdoor seating. Frequent food trucks. Lots of dogs and children. (The dogs are better behaved than the kids). Remember that scene from U Original Review: Sweet Home Alabama when Reese Witherspoon’s character visits her home town and sees a former classmate at a bar and says: “Look at you! You have a baby!…in a bar…” Yeah…it’s sort of like that. BUT…if you have children (furry or otherwise) this is the escape you need…just don’t drive home.
Great options here! Plenty of space for groups, mostly outside. They have their house brews and a few fan favorites from other breweries… Got to respect that. My server was great can’t remember her name but she has the shirt and skirt Simpson picture and she was charming and efficient… You can definitely spend a few hours here I wish I got more pictures- fail on my part
Great local casual neighborhood vibe brewery. The owners and staff are super nice and yummy beer selection. Nice open indoor and outdoor spaces, large tvs for sports fans and dog friendly. Food truck with delish food. Familes with kids tend to hang out outside in the late aftetnoon early evening, people with dogs inside and a new cool 21 and over air conditioned lounge in the back with couch, bar and tv for sports in the back. Highly recommend!
