(from Google)First time visit to the Tap Room for a Father's Day excursion. My sister recommended this place as somewhere she always wanted to eat so we took our dad for a holiday brunch. Menu is extremely limited. I ordered an omelet with wheat toast, grits, and breakfast potatoes. The food was good as advertised. Pops ordered more food than he could consume. Seating and environment was great. We sat inside in a booth across from the bar. Covered outside seating also available. Laid back and fairly quiet which was unexpected. Service was good. They also have a bakery at the entrance which my nephew took advantage of. Everything was great except for the limited selections on the menu. #Silent4ce
Having breakfast on the hotel restaurant's terrace on Saturday was a truly delightful experience. The setting was elegant, and although there was a minor issue with the food I ordered, our server, Matt, was incredibly understanding. We will definitely be back.
For a hotel restaurant this is a great and worth visiting. We have only eaten the appetizers but they were very good. The cocktail bar by the pool makes great cocktails. They also have other outdoor tables and a wonderful coffee shop.
Crazy thing: I’ve lived a block and a half from this place for over a decade and never stepped inside. I just don’t think to try hotel restaurants unless I’m staying at the hotel. I’m selling my condo, and before a morning showing I didn’t feel like cooking, so I finally walked over. The food was excellent, and the prices were actually reasonable, which is rare downtown these days. I had the pancakes, bacon, a sunny side up egg, and coffee. Everything was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and the staff were friendly. A little sad to discover this place right as I’m moving, but I’ll be back a few times a year when I’m in town for work.
Sometimes restaurants that are part of hotels can be disappointing, the Tap Room at Hollander Hotel is NOT one of those cases. We stopped here for breakfast one Sunday and it was great! The decor and vibe are great with plenty of seating both inside and on their patio. They have a great selection of food and a bunch of specialty drinks and probably 15 beers on tap. The prices, especially for downtown St. Pete, we're very reasonable and the staff were very friendly! If you're going late morning, keep in mind that they close for an hour or so between breakfast and lunch.
