I cannot say enough good things about this place! Steak was incredible. Ambiance was spot on. And more than anything else, the drinks were literally better than drinks I have had anywhere in the world, including Dubai/Italy/Greece/Ecuador. Dimitri is one of the best mixologist I have ever encountered. This is an experience. Seriously, such a gem of a place.

Terrible restaurant. Lovely host. Excellent server, Lexi. Good cocktails, bartender. Horrible food. We waited 24 minutes to be seated at a make-shift deuce in the far rear corner despite the reservation for a table in dining room near the musician. Other patrons next to us and diagonally across from us sat after we did and received dinner, cane and left, while we waited for ours after ordering. Dinner was nothing short of shameful. We ordered the bolognese which should be a fresh bright red tomato and meat sauce over pasta. This dish, I hate to say it, but it made us gag.. it literally looked like something that backed up from the toilet, dark taupe-brown. We mustered the courage and tried this unapproachable dish anyway and determined this had to have come from a can labeled Chefboyardee. It even smelled funky. My own dish was supposedly Shrimp Arancini, described as risotto.. yeah no; the only shrimp was the appetizer-size of this would-be entree consisting of a tasteless rice ball encased in a rock hard sugary shell with wilted lettuce scattered about the dish. The restaurant is extremely loud and gives ‘disheveled diner’ vibe. Our server graciously attempted to have our dinners comped to no avail, it was emphatically refused, which is a tell-tale indicator, no proper management. She also attempted to contact the chef, only to find he had left for the night.. it was 8pm and Saturday night! The chef is gone for the night!? Bizarre.. especially when the place was still packed and dishes, all burgers were flying out of the kitchen. This was the most disappointing food I have ever been served, literal slop. There are questionable food trucks that put this place to shame.

Love the vibe. Very customer-centric with creative food and mixology. It's more than just your local bar! The owners are always friendly and present. Michael, Jenson, and Dimitri, behind the bar, serve up wonderful custom libations. Just tried Dimitri's espresso martini last night and it's like no other I've had.

We absolutely love Blackbird’s Nest. From Dmitiri and Jensen behind the bar crafting the most beautiful and delicious cocktails to Chris ensuring everyone has the best experience, this spot has become a staple in our weekly dining. The daily soup specials are always spectacular and you cannot go wrong with their burgers. The french fries are also stellar, and their Sunday brunch can’t be missed. All that to say, make sure you add this to your list of places to stop in Fairfield county— you won’t be disappointed.

Walked across the street from the Marriott and glad that I did. Had the Southwest Salad for lunch and it was more than I could eat. Sat at the bar and service was friendly and efficient. Had a nice conversation with Jensen who was the bartender / server. She was excellent. They have a great patio for outside dining. They also have live music in summer on Thursday nights and on the weekends. The only reason that I did not rate it an overall five star experience is because I prefer my Southwest salad to be spicy not sweet. It was still good overall. Will definitely come again when in town.
