Lucky Spartan

We are local customers and have enjoyed having this restaurant and bar in our neighborhood for quite some time. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, a bartender initiated a political conversation and began making disparaging comments about New York City and the people who live there. What started as casual conversation quickly became uncomfortable and inappropriate for a hospitality setting. We come here to enjoy good food, drinks, and time with friends—not to be subjected to unsolicited political commentary. The experience was uncomfortable enough that we stopped our meal and left. This review is not about anyone’s political beliefs. People are entitled to their views. However, hospitality staff should understand that customers come from diverse backgrounds and should not feel pressured into political conversations while dining. We hope management addresses this issue so that all guests feel welcome and respected.

Do NOT go here! I have lived in Tampa all of my 50 years and have waited tables and bartended at so many different locations in town. I have never experienced worse service from the so called bartenders. They made terrible drinks and were honestly the two worst humans on the planet. These girls attitudes were actually frightening. The seltzer was flat and when asked about it we got an eye roll and told they couldn’t do a thing about it. That was just the beginning of them being condescending and completely rude for the rest of the night. I understand having a bad night but I also heard those two bartenders are terrible to everyone from other employees. Not sure why the owner would keep them around. Would have gone back cause it’s actually kind of a cool bar. But after that experience with those girls I will never step foot back in there. Too many places to go with nice and accommodating people working.

Leigha was great Had a great time here and the Leigha really made the whole experience. Super friendly, quick with drinks, and just easy to talk to. You never feel ignored, even when it’s busy, they stay on top of everything and keep the vibe fun. Drinks were solid and made right every time, and the food was really good too, came out hot and fast and hit the spot. Definitely one of those places you can kick back, watch the game, and know you’re getting great service. I’ll be back for sure.

$3 tacos and $3.50 beers for happy hour is impossible to beat in Tampa (which is basically all day)… Redhead and team were great company while watching the games. I rate Lucky Spartan five stars + two enthusiastic thumbs up + maybe a potential michelin star for the burrito!! I just moved to Tampa and I declare Lucky Spartan as my local… Good drinks, great service plus all the vibes… drinks, sports, pool, darts, bingo, karaoke, basketball, jukebox… if you don’t like this place then you are a loser. My opinion but 100% facts!

Got the South of the Border smash burger, which had a nice little spicy kick to it! Food and atmosphere were delicious and fun. Only thing is that the music volume is really loud, so I used my earplugs; this may vary based on where you sit.
