Riverwalk Terrace

Riverwalk Terrace is a stunning, elegant setting. A truly one of the most beautiful spots in the area. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and polite, and the service throughout our meal was excellent. The food was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations. The only drawbacks were the checkout process, which was quite slow, and the fact that we had to pack our own leftovers ourselves, which felt a bit out of place for such an otherwise upscale experience. Despite those minor hiccups, it was a lovely evening.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The food and atmosphere were terrific. The service was subpar though. Perhaps there were call outs or some other staffing challenge. We waited long periods for everything (water, drink orders, refills, table clearance, etc.). But, because everything else was so good, we will try again. It is expensive; we had the brunch buffet and it is worth the price.

We had a reservation for 10 people and we were sat promptly. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! We sat outside and had the privilege of seeing dolphins swim by. I would like to visit again if I'm in the area.

I visited Riverwalk Terrace for the first time today with my sons, and overall it was a pretty good experience. The space is absolutely beautiful. Being located at the Marriott on Water Street (right across from the even more stunning JW Marriott) definitely adds to the upscale atmosphere. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating + valet service, which makes it a great spot to enjoy the views and ambiance. My sons ordered the brioche French toast (one classic and one with agave berry compote), and they both said it was pretty good. I ordered the avocado tartine, which is essentially avocado toast. It wasn’t my favorite. The sourdough was a bit different than what I’m used to, and the addition of pepperoncini peppers and ground Dijon mustard seeds gave it an unusual flavor. It just wasn’t for me, though I’m sure others might enjoy the twist. One thing that surprised me was the $12 tiramisu latte. While it had nice presentation, it’s essentially an iced coffee, so the price felt a bit steep. That said, this is clearly an upscale establishment, so the pricing reflects the setting. They also offer an all-you-can-eat buffet for $38 per person, and every other weekend they feature a seafood buffet at the same price, which is great for seafood lovers. Personally, I didn’t feel the regular buffet options were worth $38 without the seafood selection, and the overall menu is somewhat limited compared to other brunch spots at a similar price point. Service by Stacie was wonderful ~ kind and welcoming. While I may not rush back, I’m still giving 4 stars because the ambiance, setting, and service were truly excellent.

Great place, great servers, and I loved how fancy the place looked, and the view (specifically during Gasparilla) was amazing. The food & buffet was very meh. Also, they never turned on the outside heaters...and thy had them (fire pits and everything). Yesterday was 40F. Even after asking. Our waitress was excellent tho.
