Stones Throw Waterfront Bar & Seafood Restaurant

My cousin and I both pooped our brains out after eating here. I’m guessing the ceviche? Ambiance was pretty cool, with a great location. Food was mediocre. The fried fish tacos were a bit flavorless, but texture and green salsa were good. The tots and calamari were good, especially with the bang-bang sauce. The carnitas tacos had more of shredded beef feel, and were decent but texture was off.

July 4th 2026 Great vibe, good music, beautiful view or the river and good service. We didn’t eat so I don’t know how the food is bit overall a good experience

Beautiful location! On the river walk at night awesome breeze! Tried the grilled oysters and ceviche. Very tasty! I wish the oysters were bigger! The shrimp ceviche was really delicious. Very friendly bartenders. I had a lemon drop martini which was really good! Nice vibe! Will be back to try more food! Very pricey…after tip… 2 drinks 2 apps $83! Paying for the view….

We visited Stones Throw on our first night in Tampa. It was by the water though it was already dark when we arrived. You order at the counter and the buzzer goes off when the food is ready. The outdoor area was nice with the good evening breeze. Our friends, Andrea and Ariel ordered lobster roll, fish sandwich, and Tots and Tentacles (calamari). We had the ceviche, fish sandwich, and a dozen east coast oysters. Overall, the food was delicious. The only thing I didn't care for is the ceviche seemed chewy.

Awesome restaurant right by the river. A fun place with people of all ages at this restaurant/bar where you can dress up or dress casually. There was a DJ playing music and the location just had great energy. The oysters were amazing and the drinks were delicious. We will be sure to return the next time we are in Tampa!
