(from Google)Heard about this place from IG so my son and I decided to give it a try. Went on a Friday at 3pm ish so it wasn't too busy. Staff was friendly. Ordered the 2 meat platter, brisket and chicken with mac and potato salad. Chicken and brisket was very good. Mac and cheese was soo rich. Brisket was good as well. Portion of the 2 meat platter was great for 1 adult and child. Got the pulled chicken but would have preferred the bone in instead. We will definitely visit again.
Swung by for lunch and had some great bbq! We both had the lunch special, which was $11 for a chicken sandwich with chips and a drink. It was a great deal and the sandwiches were a decent size. The customer service was friendly, and the place was uniquely decorated with a lot of local sports art. You do order at the counter and once seated, they bring your food to you. Overall, we would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to try their other bbq options!
I'm not from around here but I'm definitely going back. The St. Louis ribs were tender and flavorefull and it didn't need any sauce. The wings were crispy, tender, and full of flavor. They also didn't need any sauce to be enjoyed. It's no wonder Wicked Oak BarbeQue have multiple awards. Make sure you finish your meal with a delicious banana pudding dessert! Yum! The baked beans were phenomenal.
My son plays basketball for University of Tampa and he said they had catered meals for the team in past. And it was really good. So we decided to try it. — Food — amazing barbeque. Some nice sauces as well. Everyone was happy with their food. I enjoyed the sides as well. — Service — A+ — Atmosphere — if anything was a 4/5 it was this. But not bad. Was tough to park and busy part of Tampa. Place smelled a bit we weren’t sure what. But overall we enjoyed it. Cool art and paintings depicting Tampa sports which was awesome. I would definitely return if in that area again.
Outstanding BBQ joint! Food was very fresh and full of flavor, you could tell the chef puts all his passion into the food here. The brisket and pulled pork were fantastic, the hog feed (cornbread casserole) was so unique and delicious, Mac 'N Cheese was also on point!!! They also have great sauces and the latin lady who served us was very friendly, felt like we were family. Big portions, reasonable prices, will definitely be back when in the area. Photo was taken shortly after we started eating, looked so good couldn't wait to dig in 🤤
