Really cool atmosphere with great beer selections. The pizzas are soooo good too

Stopped in because I was told they had great pizza and wings. I ended up leaving disappointed. I wonder if the reviews I’ve read are specifically people that haven’t had good pizza and wings before. No offense. It just wasn’t good. The bar has a a great vibe and is a great casual date night location. However, the food left me disappointed. The pizza was soggy and had too much cheese. It came out about 10 minutes before the wings, on a Sunday afternoon. While the wings had great buffalo sauce, they were baked and mushy. I ordered 6 and threw away 2. My wife ate one. Fair notice: I hate baked wings. Should have asked them about this first. Beer selection was very good and they brew on site. Excellent beers. The ranch dressing they have is on point as well. I’d buy that in a bottle. Pizza: 6.2 out 10 Wings: 2.3 out of 10 Beer: 9.6 out of 10

Not our first trip here. Something was "off" with the atmosphere. Someone had pulled a stool just to the right of the credit card payment. He was really close and turned to completely face anyone placing an order/paying and was holding his phone as people typically do. He and the person taking our order seemed to be amused by me. All of this made me really uncomfortable. All of the beer we tried was also "off." Drinkable, but not what we remembered. The saving grace was the pizza and the pizza guy. The pizza was really good and he was very friendly and polite.

I'm here for one reason and one reason only. This pizza I truly think is the best in Waco.... Yes better than Moroso, Shortys, and Portofinos.... Southern Roots needs to figure out how to add it to the One Bite Pizza review app. On a side note, beer is not bad here either, can't go wrong with a honey lager.

I don’t know how this place has good reviews, people must be drunk when reviewing. The food took forever, they were not busy! The pizza was not good, the cheese tasted refrigerated and not fresh. The wings were not editable, they were raw and very fatty. The pizza came out first, then the wings and then the pretzel….all three items took a 20 min span to receive everything. Food should not come out in batches, taking that long in between receiving each item. It should for the most part come out around the same time. We ordered a pretzel for an appetizer and it came out last. Don’t waste your money here on food. It’s not worth it. Stick to the beer!
