(from Google)We dined here as a party of two and had a really pleasant evening overall. To start, we ordered the beef carpaccio (6/10) and the salmon tartare (9/10). The tartare was the highlight of the night to kick things off — very fresh, nicely seasoned, and well balanced. The carpaccio was enjoyable but didn’t stand out in the same way. For our entrées, we had the filet mignon with wild mushrooms (8/10) and the Maine lobster with black fettuccini and tomato sauce (7.5/10). Everything came out quickly and nice and hot. The steak was cooked properly and had great flavor, and the lobster pasta was solid and satisfying, even if it wasn’t a total showstopper. Desserts leaned a bit average for us. The pavlova (6/10) was good, and the chocolate d’amour (5.5/10) was fine, but neither felt particularly memorable. We each had a pinot noir (×2), which paired well with the meal. Service was really strong throughout the night. The manager came by to check on us, which we always appreciate, and the pacing from course to course was smooth. Total bill came to $238 which we thought was a little on the pricier side, however it was a really beautiful evening. Overall: Food – 7.5/10 Service – 9/10 A solid dining experience with some real highs, especially in the appetizers and hospitality.
Came here couple months back for my sister’s bridesmaid proposal. The workers were great! Super understanding, even helped us find the perfect aesthetic spot, and even gave the bride a dessert on the house! The food was also so delicious, especially the fries !! And I appreciate the menu breaking down what foods are cooked in pork - helpful for people like me who avoid it. Thank you!
So I’ve been here twice now within the span of a month. That goes to show you how great this place is. The last time I went I took my grandmother here for her birthday. She is vision impaired and they were very kind, thoughtful with seating, friendly and just overall amazing. Our server she was just a burst of energy. I wish I remember her name. She came over with just pure kind whole hearted happy that you are here and made my gma have a fabulous experience. As for the food, delicious per usual. We went on a Sunday for brunch. We had two drinks at the bar then two more at the table, two apps, two brunch entrees and a desert all for under $140. Not bad at all. I would recommend this establishment for the food, ambience day or night, good parking for west hartford center, staff , quality of food and a good place for any occasion
We came here to celebrate my birthday. We reserved a seat at the outdoor patio and was not disappointed. The ambience was wonderful with string lights over pergolas. The server staff was courteous and recognized my birthday right away when we sat down. Among the appetizers, the pork belly was the best. It was crunchy on the outside and paired with pickled salad. I had the Monkfish (fish of the day) with seafood cioppino. The sauce was a bit too thick but seasoned well. I chose the cheesecake as dessert. They brought it out with a candle and Happy Birthday written on it. It was a nice touch.
We went for brunch with some friends, and it was overall a great spot! I loved the food (brunch menu was just what I was looking for), but the service was just okay (very pleasant, but felt very scattered and we had to ask for several different things a few times throughout our meal, sometimes more than once). Maybe it was just an off day, so I'd love to go back. I'd say based on this one experience, it was a 4.25/4.5. We had the fresh fruit with ricotta, and avocado toast. They were able to add smoked salmon to the toast even though it wasn't on the menu, which we appreciated. The live music was a nice touch! The outdoor seating looked lovely on a nice spring day. Overall I'd definitely recommend this as a nice brunch spot in West Hartford.
