(from Google)We visited on Friday, 2/27 around 4 PM with a group. Since we hadn’t called ahead, we weren’t expecting over-the-top service, and we were in no rush at all. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it felt like our group wasn’t very welcome. There were a few kids outside already playing with some sandbags outside. We were the only ones out there, and they weren’t disturbing anyone. A staff member came outside, took the sandbags away, put everything up, and told us in a snappy tone that no one was serving outside and that we would need to go inside if we wanted anything. So we moved indoors. Once inside, our waiter was very kind and brought our drinks out promptly, which we appreciated. However, the overall atmosphere just felt off from the start, and it never really improved. We understand accommodating groups can be challenging, but we would have appreciated a more welcoming tone and experience.
Cool spot. been an "Old Towner" for years! I literally had my car serviced by Corey's dad.... WAY before Old Town was old town... so for as much love as I have for the effort and progress and sincerly just full fledge pride that goes into these businesses down here... let me say.... the place is really well put together. Great vibe. very good menu... (talking the Public ) and great Tap. Here's the deal.... If you want to see what bad culture and poor attitude can do for a great concept... go here.... I host customers once a week for the last 6 years. I haven't been to Public (or brick yard) for a couple years. After Friday... I remember why. I had a group that wanted to hang out on a patio and haven't something different. When I tell you that 6 of the 8 people that came in was very poorly received, I mean they were down right rude. 6 different people do not have a bad feeling coming to the table with all them being very rudely received when they came in. They place must be a front because the place does not take any care in the experience for the guest. On top of this, I also watch one of the ladies rudely address the kids that were on the patio. at the end of the day I wouldn't even waste the time of this review but I love old town... this place honestly is one of the very few out of the entire district. Won't be back.
Very cool atmosphere and great service....we had some menu items that were very good and some just ok. Overall would recommend this place.
Food and drinks were so good! I like that they give you your check in a book. If you feel the need, you can leave a message in the book. Such a fun touch! Definitely recommend!!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Decent venue for live music when the weather is good. Food is standard bar food, drink prices are fair but there is no wait service after 9 , you have to go to the bar to get your own drinks. Very annoying that even when they bring in bands that appeal to a more mature over 30 crowd, young people come and stand around in the middle of the dance floor, even when there are plenty other places to sit or stand. Multiple people I know stopped going to this venue because of this. Would be nice if Brickyard staff could manage this issue a little bit.
