(from Google)It's a beautiful nature trail that runs along an old riverbed. When the water is high, it rises above the trail, creating stunning reflections of palms, long-needled pines, flowers, and native plants on the water. It’s peaceful, scenic, and perfect for photography or a quiet walk. For me, this trail is especially meaningful. It’s where I walked with my wonderful wife. The beauty of the place and the memories we made here make it one of the most special spots in Southwest Florida.
What an excellent place to go for a short hike. Had kids with us and we walked the entire thing and saw the gopher tortoise in their holes. It was absolutely fantastic with very little people around. Was a perfect way to spend an afternoon!!!
really nice trail and not too long. lots of cool animals and beautiful trails
I stumbled across this hiking trail. I'm so happy we did. Very well maintained. Some boardwalks along with hard compact shell path and some rough/soft terrain. They have a kayak launch area and an awesome Bee learning shack where you can see a bee hive with live bees building their hive. It's an amazing place. I highly recommend coming here and exploring this little gem. Also, pretty well shaded.
Very short, poorly marked trail. We just kind of wandered around on paths without a clear idea of where we were or how far we were going. By walking this trail and around the nature park we got slightly over a mile. The trail was fairly accessible with one spot that had a steep hill. The hill could have been avoided by using another trail. The river was very beautiful. We enjoyed the beauty of the river. It was a little noisy from freeway traffic on one end.
