(from Google)2025.08.02 ~06:05 arrived at the parking beside closeby the trail access to Ballantyne District Park Trails. And out i went on an ~6 mi CCW Loop of the neighborhood, and at end, ~0.6 mi of the Ballantyne District Park Trails The neighborhood was nice. During my ~2 hrs of walk, encountered a total of 10+ people and 4 dogs; everyone was cheery and friendly 👍🙃
Sure it’s not the longest trail but the flow and berms here are excellent! Trail was in super shape! Kudos to the trail gnomes. Look forward to further development of it. And yes - the wall ride is insane!
This is a cool walking trail that is shared as a bike path. It is small enough to walk within an hour but there is a lot to explore. A stream runs through it and you can access it from certain parts of the trail. The park adjoins the nearby YMCA as well as Community House Middle School (you can cut through from one site to the other). It often has few people (at least in the winter) and that always amazed me given where it is located. I've seen both deer and a hawk here so keep your eye out for animals!
A park hard to believe being called a park. This is probably THE MOST NEGLECTED park in the queen city. There are no play structures for the kids, no unlocked washrooms or changing rooms onsite. Often serves as parking lot for the near by facility or as a parking lot for the bicycle trails. The trails a re awesome for pretty much any level and open year round.
Great mountian bike trails for a quick ride. If you live in the area, this is well worth the trip. There's some amazing features if you are feeling brave, but even for a quick walk/ride/hike for all skill levels, it's a great place
