(from Google)This has become one of my favorite parks! Love the trails. The inclusive playground area is top notch. The nature center is beautiful, you’ll always see lots of animals at the viewing windows.
The overlook areas by the lake are a great spot to pass the time looking through the telescopes.
I love Blendon woods. I have fond memories there of people I love. And I still go there to revisit those spots and walk the trails, just to have some peace.
Well maintained, wide trails. I enjoyed the nature center with its many fascinating critters. (The spotted salamander was my favorite.) In early October and late September, there are a variety of goldenrods and asters in bloom. I also enjoyed the spacious bird blinds at the lake. Kudos to the park for putting up a chimney swift tower.
We loved the Inclusive Playground. This is just a few pictures of the best kids playground ever. Super soft spongy ground with things to climb, spin on, and learn about, kinda hands on Cosi-like learning in a totally fun park. Super safe with gates and handicapped accessible and friendly. Fun for parents and big kids too. There are different closing hours... The playground closes earlier than the rest of the park. So Google if it's open beforehand.
