(from Google)This location has one of the most beautiful small ponds that I’ve ever seen in Northern Virginia. There’s something magical about the sunlight there especially when you can see the flags flying through the trees and the beautiful fall leaves especially nice to see the American flag up on Veterans Day. Hallelujah.
This park is more of a wooded area surrounded by a paved trail. There are plenty of deer and foxes if tou take the time to look. I walk my dog here regularly, and there are always other dogs that pass. There are fitness stations along the trail, but I dont think ive ever seen them used. My daughter likes to hang from the pull-up bars.
Nice, small local park with a stream that runs through it. Hoping that the pathway / trail that will connect to route 29 finishes soon.
Pleasant 1/2 mile Fairfax County Park trail near Merrifield VA running north from Route 50 along Bear Branch stream. Trail has exercise stations and a few benches, with grassy areas behind houses on one side and woods on the other. Very limited parking near Route 50 and no restroom facilities.
This Fairfax County Park Authority maintained park features a pedestrian and bike path that starts from the Route 50 path and continues to near a private pond where the trail dead-ends in the forest. The trail was resurfaced by Tibbs Paving in 2018. Three additional access paths to the Barkley Gate subdivision are provided. Six exercise stations are provided for the following activities: curl-ups, pull-ups, step-ups, balance, arm strength, and freestyle stretching.
