(from Google)Great place to round up the walkers. There is a rock dam that is quite impossible for walkers to maneuver. Make sure you wear great hiking boots. Trout are seen, but hard to catch. Bass is around, you can make a fire in one of the pit areas and cook, make sure you have a lookout thats a flat area, which is easily accessible for walkers.
Fantastic views, one of the best in Sac area, and probably my favorite park near Folsom lake. Not crowded at all at week days. Many picnic spots near lake
Nice spot for a picnic in the park, lots of tree shade.
Beautiful access to Folsom Lake. Aside from the boat ramp, there are lots of picnic tables overseeing the lake. The water is relatively close to picnic areas.
The trail here was very fantastic and enjoyable. I usually walked from the Browns Ravines Trailhead on the other side and the view from the other side was great. There is a grassy field during the trail, so you can play ball with your dog, and it's connected to the trail course on the other side, so you can adjust the trail distance according to you. There are a lot of picnic tables and barbecue grills are prepared, so I think it would be great as a picnic place as well . Fee area for $12.00 so parked the car at 99 ranch market and walked 4 mile. Strongly recommend !!
