Lents Family Park East

i liked taking my kiddo here. it was nice until my vehicle got broken into, over $1500 worth of items were stolen, and my privacy violated. granted, i should’ve been more cautious due to the area, but it’s still no excuse to take what’s not yours. pct 4 was also of little help. they showed up, took a report, brushed the glass shards off my seat, and left. it was dusk and i’m a woman with my daughter. my boyfriend had to haul ass to us and he works 2h away. fortunately, with “find my” on iphone, we were able to track my stuff that’d been dumped on someone’s property. i called pct 4 and they retrieved my stuff. on the downside, my phone, wallet, and pencil case were all kept by the thieves. there should be an officer here at ALL times or WORKING surveillance installed.

Lents Family Park East – Review (Portland, OR) - Location: Southeast Portland, in the Lents neighborhood. - Features: Sports fields, basketball court, playground, and walking paths. Good space for local games and family outings. - Atmosphere: Quiet and community-focused. Often used by locals for recreation. - Maintenance: Generally clean and well-kept, though some areas could use updates. - Safety: Feels safe during the day, with occasional activity in the evenings.

It's a nice big playground. Lots to play on. Shade on some parts. Nice wooded path to walk. Restrooms available. Unfortunately there are no benches along the playground, but there is a covered pavilion a little bit away. The playground has wheelchair accessible parts, however it is a rocky path, so not accessible for all. No swings. No trash cans around playground, only one at pavilion and it was overflowing so lots of trash on the playground.

Nice park. Kind of hidden near an area of apartment homes and beautiful tall trees. Love that they placed a gate between the street and playground. Ample parking. Have gone specifically for the play ground. Lots of play and unique equipment. Probably more for ages 2-12. Only thing missing is a swing set nearby. Big grassy area to throw a ball though. Noticed one large pavilion nearby and one stall restrooms....which a little disappointing they have not installed a changing table being a family park but it seems clean. Posting pics of the splash pad season also which I could not find online and have yet to try out!

It's a small rock path less than a mile. On our walk today it was windy and a widow maker got blown out of a tree behind us. Luckily no one was around it when it fell. This is a nice urban hike but if you're looking for more of a woodsy hike this isn't it. It has a really nice play area for kids though.
