(from Google)Although the ballfields are awesome, the playground is questionable. If the fields aren't full then it's a pretty shady place to visit alone! We were approached by a strange man and there isn't anyone around to help. You are in a parking lot that is under an overpass so there is little to no sunlight, the canopy is covered in mold and mildew, the play equipment doesn't really make sense. We, as adults, tried to figure out the purpose of it and couldn't. We will not be going back.
I love this little park! They have a swinging bridge there. Please note this is the one that is safer than the Clinchport Swinging bridge. Way safer. Up in VA, some boards are missing and there's nothing really holding you in as you walk. Kingsport's is sturdy and you are enclosed. Much better. It's a beautiful area and has picnic tables for those summer picnics or outings. It's part of greenbelt hiking trails. It's by the way. Family & kid friendly. Beautiful place for photography or photos.
This is a first class park for our youth. We'll maintained and clean. I loved watching our grand kids play ball there!
Absolutely beautiful Park! The Baseball fields are impeccable and even has a snack bar and rest rooms.
A beautiful little park that has all the necessities for a fun day out with the family. Riverside access for the days the little ones want to explore to shore of the river and look at rocks, a decently built, jungle gym laden playground with soft rubber mulch, and the ability to occasionally watch baseball games. With it being so close to the city center, and to my own home, I've visited here many times and will many times more!
